Average package: 12 LPA, Companies: Many good companies visit here but not many of the top tier due to location factors. Highest package: 52 LPA by CRED. The placement percentage is high in CSE and ECE.
Admission to the B.Tech course is given based on JEE Main ranks. After clearing the JEE Mains exam, candidates participate in JoSAA counseling to get a seat in this college which begins some days after JEE Advanced and lasts for about a month.
From the 7th semester, students become eligible for campus placements. Companies like Bloomberg, Maruti Suzuki, and TCS keep on visiting the campus for recruitment. 1 Cr+ is the highest package offered to a student of this college. I'm looking forward to clearing the GATE exam as I want to go for higher studies.
One has to clear JEE mains exam and then participate in Josaa counseling to get into this college. Like all NITs, our college also has reservations for admissions based on Category(Gen, Obc, Sc/St) quota, female quota, and Home state quota.
From the 7th semester onwards we get to sit in the placement interviews. Several renowned companies visit our colleges like Samsung, Wipro, wells Fargo, Paytm, oracle and etc. These Companies offer good packages of 8-9 LPA. The highest package is 1 crore above by many students. From my branch 96 percent of students get placement. After getting my degree I am preparing for isro.
The admission process was through Josha and JEE (mains) rank. The general category cut-off was the 92 percentile. I scored 98 percentile so I could get any branch easily because of my home state quota. The application process and fee deposit process were easy and it was through SBI collect. This process of allotment was through josha. I guess everything was well related to the process of taking admission if we have the right documents.
Students get placed on campus in their final year. Placement packages in core branches are not that great like an average of 5 lakhs but in CSE the packages are quite good. Companies do visit the campus for placement. There is a dedicated placement cell in the college. The highest package for cse was about 1 to 1.5 cr.
Admission is through Josaa by qualifying JEE Mains and the cutoff for Civil was around 60000 rank for the home state. Application for jee mains is available on the NTA website. Around 95%ile score is enough for admission in the civil branch.

Students need to give Jee mains exam for getting into NiT. After cracking Jee mains you have a counseling round in which a seat is allocated to you in the branch you select and college you select on the basis of your marks (percentile) application for jee is released in January and is conducted 2 times in a year in the month of February and April. Category-wise reservation benefit you get during the time of cut-off. And you have a different fee structure if you fall under the reserved category. You need to give fewer fees. The admission process is quite good and fast.
