CU Kashmir was established in 2009 via Central Universities Act, 2009. It is a University run by Central Government, and presently it functions in various transit campuses. Central University of Kashmir offers UG and PG Courses in various streams like Science, Arts, Commerce, Management, Education, and other major subjects. It offers integrated and PG Diploma courses too.
CU Kashmir takes admission on the basis of CUET rank. For its engineering Courses, JEE Main, or GATE exam is the requirement as per the course offered. Eligibility is Intermediate with 50% aggregate marks for UG Courses. For PG Courses, 50% aggregate marks in Graduation is required.
CU Kashmir provides Scholarships to its meritorious students on the basis of their performance in End Semester Exams. It also offers facilities like Transport, Library, Browsing Center, and Hostels.
Though CU Kashmir does not have a placement cell, yet its students are able to bag decent jobs in companies like ITC, and HDFC. They also clear government exams and bag prestigious government services.

CU Kashmir Admissions
Admissions to B.Tech are made on the basis of performance in JEE Mains.
For M. Tech., admissions are made on the basis of GATE/UGC Net/JRF/JEST exam.
Admissions in PG Courses are mostly made through marks in the CUCET Exam. Fee is affordable.
Selections to Ph.D. are made on a joint criteria of Merit and Test. Candidates must have a score card of NET/JRF/CUCET during admissions.
CU Kashmir offers Courses of 1 year duration. Candidates are admitted for the PG Diploma program on the basis of CUCET rank.
