University of Jammu, Jammu is a public university which was established in the year of 1969 and is located at Gujarbasti, Jammu Cantonment in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.

University of Jammu UG Eligibility Criteria 2020

Jammu University offers B.A., B.A. LL.B., B.P.Ed., B.Com., BBA, LL.B. and B.Lib. programs in various streams at UG level.

Candidates who have passed 10+2 are eligible to apply. Admission is granted on the basis of merit.

Selection Criteria

Admission to the undergraduate courses is granted on the basis of JUET entrance examination.

Key Points:

Candidates applying for the integrated five-year B.A. LL.B. course must be 21 years of age for General category and 22 years in age for SC/ST.
There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer in JUET. Students have to secure at least 25% marks in JUET at the time of final admission.
Candidates under General category will have to secure at least 30% marks in JUET while 25% marks are required for SC/ST categories.
After the declaration of the JUET result, the candidate may fill the admission form online through the official website of JUET.
Foreign students should not be more than 18 years of age on or before December 31, 2019.

University of Jammu PG Admission 2020

University of Jammu offers M.A, M.Com, M.Sc, M.P.Ed, MCA, MBM & LL.M programs in various streams at PG level. Bachelor’s degree with 45% marks in the relevant discipline is the minimum eligibility criteria for admission.

Admission is granted on the basis of performance in JUET. The candidates have to secure a minimum 25% marks in order to qualify the exam.

University of Jammu MBA Admission 2020

The university offers a full-time MBA program in two specializations, namely - International Business and Hospitality & Tourism.

The basic eligibility is a pass in graduation degree with at least 50% marks in aggregate or any other equivalent examination.

Selection of the candidates is based on valid CAT/AIMA-MAT or CMAT score. Apart from the entrance score, candidates’ academic record followed by Group Discussion and performance in Personal Interview is also considered at the time of admission.

Selection Criteria

Selection will be based on CAT/MAT/CMAT score followed by merit in the qualifying exam, Group Discussion and Personal Interview.

Total 30 seats are available for MBA (IB) program.
Candidates who have passed ICAI or ICSI are also eligible to apply for admission.
Those who have appeared in AIME (Engineering) with 50% marks (40% marks for SC/ST) are also eligible to apply.
Application forms for MBA programs can be obtained from the office of SHTM against the cash payment or Demand Draft of INR 800.
20 seats are available under the School of Hospitality and Tourism Management. Open merit has 67% seats and the rest of the seats are for reserved categories.

University of Jammu offers M.Phil and Ph.D. programs in various disciplines. Candidates who have completed a master degree with 55% marks in aggregate are eligible to apply for admission.

University of Jammu Application Process 2020

Initially, candidates have to appear in JUET to be eligible for admission to various programs offered by Jammu University. The candidates can apply by following the below-mentioned steps:

Visit the official website of University of Jammu and register for JUET.
After login, fill the application form and pay the application fee through challan at the nearby branch of Jammu & Kashmir Bank Ltd. In order to collect the JUET application form.
The registration fee for JUET is INR 700 for General candidates and INR 600 for SC/ST categories.
Download the duly filled Application Form and send it to the Department of Education, University of Jammu after attaching the necessary documents.
Authorities will scrutinize the form and prepare the merit list which will be displayed online on the website.

Admission :

Usually a entrance test is conducted in the mid july of every session. And after it, a merit is generated according to marks in entrance test and according to it the college is allotted to the students. But as you know, there is management quota also, some members take bribe and give favour in return.

Remarks :

Some professor show monopoly and even sexually harass to girl students. And the thing is that when a girl student complain for it, she only get disappointment in return.

Admission :

We neee to go through an entrance exam called JUET and then counsellings will be done on the basis of rank in the entrance and we provide an opportunity to choose the campus of our choice as per rank.

Remarks :

The univeristy needs to organize as many job drives in the camp so that student can make full use of it. Also, the syllabus of the course need to be reviews and updated as per criteria and IT industry.

Admission :

I started preparation with my friend and both passed entrance exam with 14 marks each andl got seat in department of computer science &it , university of jammu in SC category.while we need to attach all required documents along with bank draft which is only mode of payment.

Remarks :

There were a lot of positive things in my university.they provide quality education to students + practical knowledge as well.but no negative thing I found there is no placement drive were organised.

Firstly we go through entrance exm and thn result came out on university site and after the decleration of results within 10 days admissions start we have to sumbit the form by hand un each dept where we want to take admission and thn list came out and u got ur admission sumbit the fee take the slip and burrh u got it

Remarks :

It is overall not very expensive not too overfree the quality of food in premessies is good and the rates of canteen is fixed by university and we have our famous juicy bar where we get each type of fresh fruit juice
