Christ University has started the registration process for MBA program in two sessions: Session I & Session II. Candidates can apply for MBA Admission 2021 Session 1 between November 01, 2020 and January 24, 2021, along with submitting the application fee of INR 5000. The university has extended the registration deadline for Ph.D. program till Nov 30, 2020. Christ University has also introduced 6 new specializations in B.Tech course.

Christ University is a deemed private university. It is the first indigenous Syrian Catholic religious congregation in India. The University is specifically known for its undergraduate courses and has ranked among the top ten for UG courses in surveys done by the India Today group. Every year, more than 16000 students enroll in various UG and PG programs offered at Christ University. Admission to the courses is based on the entrance exam conducted by the university except for MBA. For MBA it considers CAT, MAT, GMAT, CMAT, XAT, or ATMA Scores.

The university has two other off-campus facilities at Delhi and Pune.

Christ University Admissions

The application form can be filled in online or offline modes by following the given steps:

Offline Application:

  1. Obtain the application form Office of Admission, Christ University, Central Block, Hosur Road, Bengaluru-560029
  2. Fill the relevant details in the application form and visit the official website of the university.
  3. Now create your unique ID and click on ‘Proceed Application’ to enter the ‘Application Form Number’.

Online Application:

  1. Fill the application form online from the official website of Christ University.
  2.  Create your Registration ID & Username.
  3. Pay the application fee by Credit / Debit Card/through Net banking or by DD drawn in favor of ‘Christ University payable at Bengaluru’.
  4. Fill the application form with respect to the personal & professional details and click on Submit.
  5. Save the registration number and take the printout of duly filled application form for future reference.
  6. Send/submit the application with supporting documents in an A4 size Envelope and must mention the program applied for with Mobile Number.

Note: The candidate may also submit the application form in person to the university address.

CUET EXAM

Christ University Entrance Test is conducted for admission to B Tech, BBA, BBA (Hons), BBA (Finance and International Business), BBA (Finance and Accountancy), BA LLB (Hons), BBA LLB (Hons), LLM, B Com (Hons), B Com (International Finance), B Com (Professional), BA-CEP and BHM.

Christ University has released the Christ University Entrance Test 2020 dates for Session I and II on the official website. Christ University Entrance Test application forms 2020 have been released on December 8, 2019. The last date to apply for CUET 2020 was April 8, 2020, for session I and April 20, 2020, is the last date for session II. The selection process of these courses consists of Christ University Entrance Test, Skill Assessment Test, Micro Presentation, and Personal Interview. The session 1 exam has been canceled due to technical issues but the personal interviews will be conducted as scheduled. The Session II exam is scheduled to be conducted on April 26, 2020.

Amid the coronavirus pandemic and nationwide lockdown, CUET 2020 will be conducted in internet mode on the scheduled dates and the aspirants can appear for the exam from their homes.

Christ University Scholarships

Following are the awards and scholarships provided by the University:

Merit Scholarship: 

  • Those who have secured 80% marks and above in the Semester Examinations: Full fees waiver for a semester.
  • Those who have secured 75% marks and above in the Semester Examinations: 50% fees waiver for a semester.
  • Those students who are hailing from Karnataka villages securing 75% marks and above in the Semester Examinations: Full fees waiver for a semester.
  • Those students who are hailing from Karnataka villages securing 70% marks and above in the Semester Examinations: 50% fees waiver for a semester.

Scholarship for Financial Assistance: 

Students choosing to avail of this scholarship must apply to the Office of Awards and Scholarships with supporting documents. They will require to fill up a separate application for the scholarship available along with their main application form and submit to the Office. The scholarship committee will then interview them on the allotted dates, and their concessions will be decided prior to the payment of their fees. The percentage of concession for different categories is recommended as follows:

  • Self-financing courses - 0-50%
  • Others- -0-90%

Alumni Association Scholarships: 

This helps economically weak students through the Alumni Fund. Students seeking support can approach the Alumni Office, BHM Department, II Block, II Floor. 

Christ University Placements

The placement cell of the university takes the initiative to explore new career avenues for graduates and postgraduates through visits to new companies and unexplored sectors. It also organizes pre-placement talk to provide the students an insight into the company profile, job profile, career path, CTC, and more. The University has state-of-the-art facilities that make campus recruitment a pleasant experience. A total of 1720 students were placed this year with various reputed companies such as KPMG, Accenture, ICICI Bank, Deloitte, Ernst & Young. The highest CTC was offered by the Daily Hunt of INR 13 LPA for the MBA program.

Ques. Where will I find all the relevant information pertaining to admissions?

Ans. Admission details such as programs offered, application guidelines, admission process, eligibility, selection process, fee structure, important dates, application forms, syllabus, etc. are available under Related Links when on the program of your choice or under the Admissions link on www.christuniversity.in or www.christuniversity.in/admissions. When the applicant clicks on the program he/she is interested in, the overview of the program will appear and all other relevant information will be available on the left side of the page under ‘Related Links’.

Ques. Why do I need a unique ID?

Ans. The ID will enable the candidate to apply for more than one program if necessary.  

Ques. Can I apply for more than one program in the same application?

Ans. It is not possible to apply for more than one program in the same application form. However, for certain programs, while filling the application 2nd and 3rd preference option will be available. The candidate may enter the preferences from the options available in the dropdown. The candidate cannot manually enter her/his preferences on the application printout.

Ques. When will the results of the selection process be declared?

Ans. If the important date section for the program does not state when the results will be declared, then the same will be declared within 48 hours of completion of the process and the offer of admission will be valid for 3-5 working days.

Ques. I want to pay my fees through a Bank Loan. Is it possible?

Ans. Loan application is issued on request only when the student presents the first year fee paid receipt to the office. The applying and processing of loan is the student's responsibility. When the loan is sanctioned and if it is sanctioned in the name of the institution the student will have to submit the cheque/DD to the Office of Accounts who will reimburse the amount in the student’s name.

Ques. What is the cancellation policy of the institution?

Ans. The cancellation policy of the institution is based on the F.No 1-3/2016(CPPP-I) DU) UGC notification 11th, July 2016.  Cancellation must be processed in person by presenting all the original documents received from the institution while processing admission. 

Ques. Is there is a management quota in CHRIST University?

Ans. There is no management quota for the admission. Complete admission is based on the merit list.

Ques. What was the minimum package offered during 2016-17,was there 100%placement?

Ans. CHRIST Delhi NCR leverages the reputation and brand of Christ University as a preferred destination of corporate for internships and placements. The institute also has a dedicated placement support cell. The minimum package offer so far was 4 Lacs per annum.
