IIM Bangalore Admission 2024: Fees, Cutoff, Selection Criteria, Eligibility

IIM Bangalore adopts a two-phase selection process. The first phase includes shortlisting the candidates for the personal interviews using the CAT scores. The candidates shortlisted for the PI process will additionally be required to take a Writing Ability Test (WAT) on a topic provided by IIMB. In the second phase, the final selection will be done based on the WAT, interview, and pre-PI scores.

IIM Bangalore MBA Selection Criteria: Phase 1

In phase 1, the first shortlist is prepared, comprising candidates who have secured a score equal to or above the minimum score in all the sections of CAT 2022. The sectional CAT cut-off for all categories is mentioned in the table below:

The candidates who have been shortlisted according to the CAT sectional cut-off will be then evaluated based on 5 parameters to shortlisted them for the personal interview. The 5 parameters to shortlist the candidates for PI are as follows:

IIM Bangalore MBA Selection Criteria: Phase 2 

The candidates shortlisted in Phase 1 will be called for WAT and PI rounds and will be selected for the PGP program based on multiple criteria i.e, performance in the WAT, PI, CAT, 10th, 12th, and work experience. • Interested candidates will have to visit the official website of CAT i.e, www.iimcat.ac.in, and register themselves to create an account.
• The applicants can start filling up the application form with all the personal, academic, and professional details and will also have to upload all the required documents.
• In the same form they can apply to IIM Bangalore PGP programs. 
• Once they have completed the application, they can submit it and pay the application fee.

IIM Bangalore EPGP admission 2023 ended in January 2023. The classes will start soon.

IIM Bangalore EPGP Selection 

The candidates are firstly evaluated based on the eligibility criteria and are shortlisted for the interview process. The final selection for the EPGP program is based on the composite score, which is calculated through multiple factors including the academic track record, GMAT/ GRE scores, quality of work experience, performance in the interview, and writing ability test.

IIM Bangalore EPGP Admission: How to Apply?

The candidates will have to fill out the application form available on the IIM Bangalore website and pay the application fee. The documents that need to be submitted along with the application form include the following:

• 10th, 12th, and Bachelor mark sheet.
• Bachelor’s degree certificate
• GMAT/ GRE Score Sheet
• Statement of Purpose for pursuing the EPGP Program
• Work experience letter/ payslips
• ST/ SC/ NC-OBC/ EWS Certificate (if applicable)
• PwD certificate (if applicable)
• 2 reference letters.

The admission into PGPEM program is through the following stages mentioned below:

IIM Bangalore PGPEM Selection Criteria 

• The applicants will be shortlisted for the personal interview based on their performance in CAT/ GMAT/ GRE/ IIMB Test, their prior academic performance, and duration of their work experience.
• The shortlisted candidates will be called for a personal interview and a writing ability test.
• The final selection will be based on prior academic performance, duration of work experience, quality of work experience, social sensitivity, and performance in the interview and writing ability.

IIM Bangalore PGPEM Admission: How to Apply?

The PGPEM application form will be made available at the http://iimberpsrv.iimb.ernet.in/prod/sfonlapp.home. The candidates can fill out the application form with all the required details and documents and pay the application fee of INR 1,500. 

• The candidates should have a valid score in GMAT/ GRE/ CAT to apply for this program. If not, then they can also opt to take the IIMB Test conducted online by IIM Bangalore.
• The candidates who are applying using the CAT score should indicate in the CAT 2022 form also that they want to apply for the PGPEM program. 
• Those who are taking the IIMB Test need to pay an additional INR 1,000 along with the application fee of INR 1,500.
