Mangalore University Admission

Candidates seeking admission in the university must fill an online application form by visiting the official website. The registration is done online as well as offline mode. Candidates wishing to apply can download the application form from the official website of the university. The admission for some courses will be through an Entrance Test which will be held by the respective departments. Listed candidates on the basis of their marks in the exam are considered for admission.

Mangalore University also offers a Ph.D. program in various specializations such as Kannada, English, History, Economics, Political Science, Sociology, Social Work, Mass Communication and Journalism, Physical Education, etc. The minimum eligibility to apply is a Master’s Degree in relevant discipline with minimum required marks.

The selection is done on the basis of the entrance test namely- CET (Centralized Entrance Test) followed by a personal interview round. Shortlisted candidates on the basis of their performance in CET will be called for interview round. Those who will successfully qualify both rounds of selection will be considered for admission to the Ph.D. program.

Candidates qualified U.G.C/ CSIR (JRF) Exam/ NET/ SLET/ GATE/ Teacher Fellowship holder/ M.Phil. degree holder who has already appeared for Entrance Test or if Research candidates working under sponsored Major Research Projects are exempted from appearing CET.

The admission process was quite easy, the queue was maintained on first come first seat. Once the admission form is collected from the office, we need to fill and submit it to the office and then proceed to to make fee payment via challan.

Course Curriculum Overview:

There are many courses offered in the institution, the faculty members were well knowledgeable. The faculty was supportive of sports, learning, and also other extracurricular activities. I choose BCA, as I was interested to learn more about computer programming, The faculty-student ratio was 3:10. The teaching skills were good. We had tests every month before the semester examination.

Admission process is very simple the cut off for bba is 75% which is very good if you obtained above 75% you will get the seats you may book the seats before admission this helps to look forward for other colleges and you can reserve your seats also

SDM. A inside view

The college didn't conduct any entrance exams. But in order to join the college with a BBA course you need to have a minimum of 80%. After having the eligibility, you can go to SDM's official website and apply for the course. There are no application fees. There are some benefits, such as deduction in fees, etc.

The course gives a brief knowledge about the management of an organisation and also helps to create your own business. The department provides students with innovative fest and competition which allows students to know their stronghold areas in management. There is also a council of commerce and administration students which takes part in all the fest organised in the college. The faulty to students ratio are 1:10. The faculties are Master's degree holders in their respective field. The teaching method is very standard and the usage of technologies is properly done. The exam papers are prepared in the college as it is an autonomous college. The question papers are very standard and not so difficult to pass.

In my college so many students like boys and girls maybe ratio .boys ratio is 8 and girls ratio is 9 teaching method is so good theory and practical both are to much interesting. I visited the college there was a guide who helped me in filling out the form, then after filling the form I was given a token to wait for my turn to go inside a seminar Hall where two to three lectures will present our details given and recheck the given details and then after successful completion of recheck of details I was asked to go near principle for interview after successful completion of the interview I was asked to go to the bank which is inside the campus and a challan was given to pay in the bank after paying receipt will be given for our reference.

The course curricula are a little difficult but manageable we have to work hard but the teaching was very excellent they give real-time examples and make it more understandable and making us learn and understand concepts easily.

I Love VC

I am admitted to Bcom in this college. The basic eligibility was to pass PU with a minimum of 60 per cent from any PU board permitted by Mangalore university. I got an application on Google form and was admitted after the college informed me.

I like Accounts therefore I choose Bcom. There is an average of 1 faculty for 18 students. All faculties completed M.Com.Teaching is good. The college conducts an internal exam once a month. It is a moderate exam.

A review of VC Puttur

The eligibility for the BSC course the student must pass the two-year pre-university in Science stream conducted by Karnataka PU board or any other Board which is considered equivalent by Mangalore University with a minimum of 60%. The application forms can be found in the College office or you can fill google form available on the college website(www.vcputtur.ac.in) and further go to the college for the admission process after you get a call. It is a nice admission process.

I chose BSC Chemistry because I want further my career in the Chemical field. About the college,this is the best college in Puttur. faculty ratio is 1:20. All the faculties have completed MSC in chemistry. and some of them have Phd also. The college conducts internal examinations two times a semester. The question paper is moderate.
