The admission to the M.C.A. Programme is open to the following candidates:

• Students who have passed Bachelor’s degree in the relevant stream with a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of at least 6.5 in the 0-10 scale grading system, OR Students who have scored not less than 60% marks in the aggregate (marks scored in all the subjects of all the public/university examinations).
• They must have a valid score in NIT MCA Common Entrance Test (NIMCET).

Note: A relaxation of 5% marks in the aggregate for SC/ST candidates

• Open the mail
• Click on “confirm my account”
• Reset the password
• Now, log in using Password & Email ID
• Click on the link given for NIMCET Application Form.
• Fill in the form carefully
• Click on “Submit”
• Upload the attested scanned images of the required documents
• Review the form
• Click on Final submit
• Make the payment of the fee of the application using Net banking/Debit Card/Credit Card
• Download and keep a print copy of the filled form

Extending over 3 years & 6 semesters, the total course package for an M.C.A. Programme will typically consist of the following components.

MCA Syllabus

The maximum duration for a student for complying with the Degree Requirement from the date of registration for his first semester is six years.

The minimum credit requirement for getting an MCA degree is 120.

Major Project carries 20 credits and spreads over one semester, during the 6th semester (or as recommended by DPGC). The student must secure a CGPA of at least 5.50 in the Course Work.
