CUSAT Kochi offers a four-year B.Tech program in 11 specializations, namely, Civil Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture & Ship Building, Polymer Science & Engineering, Safety & Fire Engineering, and Instrumentation Technology.
Admissions to the B.Tech program are done through the Common Admission Test (CAT) conducted by the university.
CUSAT Kochi also accepts admissions for B.Tech Lateral Entry (admission to 2nd year).
Selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of scores in the CAT test conducted by the university. Seats are allocated on the basis of merit list, availability of the seats, and other factors.
Selection for B.Tech Lateral Entry candidates will be done on the basis of the Lateral Entrance Test (LET) conducted by the university. Based on the rank obtained in LET, the university decides the remedial courses for the selected candidates.

CUSAT Kochi offers full-time M.Tech in 11 specializations. Admissions into the program are done on the basis of scores in the GATE or DAT/JNU entrance examination.
The candidate needs to have a B.Tech. or equivalent degree from any university of Kerala or a CUSAT recognized university with a minimum of 60% marks.
Selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of GATE scores. If there is a shortage of candidates having valid GATE scores, the other candidates can be considered for admission after qualifying DAT in the relevant subjects.
CUSAT Kochi offers a five-year integrated M.Sc program in the field of Photonics, Science, and Computer Science under three different departments. After successful completion of the program, students will be getting a degree in B.Sc and M.Sc. Admissions into the program are done through the Common Admission Test (CAT) conducted by the university.
The candidates applying for the Integrated M.Sc program need to qualify in the CAT exam conducted by CUSAT. The subjects of the CAT exam for the Integrated M.Sc. the program comprises Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics subjects.
The questions of the CAT exam are objective-type multiple-choice, which is based on the 10+2 syllabus. The exam duration is 3 hours. There are 250 objective questions:

CUSAT Kochi offers a full-time LLB program for a duration of three years. The program has a total intake of 60 and is being offered under the Department of School of Legal Studies. Admissions into the program are done through the Common Admission Test (CAT) conducted by the university.
The candidates seeking admission to the LLB program, need to have a Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 55% marks in aggregate from a CUSAT recognized university.
Note: The State Government/Central Government permanent employees need to provide the NOC from the employer to take admission in the LLB program. Also, the candidates should be working in the 30Km radius of the Thrikkakara Campus of CUSAT.
The admission in the LLB program is based on the rank achieved in the CAT test conducted by CUSAT. The candidates need to appear in the group discussion and interview after qualifying for the CAT test.
The CAT test for the LLB program consists of 150 objective-type questions to test general knowledge, aptitude, logic, and reasoning. The questions are divided into:

The program is being offered in the field of Science, Technology, and Information Technology. Admissions into the program are done through the Common Admission Test (CAT) conducted by the university.
The candidates interested in the M.Sc. programs need to have a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with minimum 55% marks.

CUSAT Kochi offers two types of MBA programs, Full-Time and Part-Time for a duration of two years and three years respectively. The part-time evening professional MBA program offers a specialization in International Business and Travel and Tourism.
Admissions into the program are based on the scores in management entrance tests - KMAT of Kerala or C-MAT of AICTE or CAT of IIMs followed by a GD and PI round conducted by the university.
The candidates need to have a Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
The candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of scores in CAT/ KMAT/ C-MAT examination. Shortlisted candidates will be called for a group discussion round and those who qualify the same will be required to appear for a personal interview. Final selection will be made on the basis of performance in the entrance test and GD & PI round.
CUSAT Kochi offers an M.Phil program in the fields of Hindi, Mathematics, and Chemistry for a duration of one year.
The candidates interested in the M.Phil. programs need to have a Master’s Degree in the relevant subject.
If the candidate is working, an experience certificate and the NOC from the employer need to be submitted.
The interested candidates need to qualify in the DAT test conducted by the university. An Interview for the DAT-qualified candidate will also be conducted by CUSAT to grant permission for the M.Phil. programs.
CUSAT Kochi offers a Full-Time and Part-Time Ph.D. research program to pursue the Ph.D. degree. The availability of the areas of research and vacancies need to be verified through the proposed Supervising Guides. The Minimum and maximum duration to complete the program is 2 year and 6 years respectively.
The candidates looking for registration in the Ph.D. program need to have a Master’s Degree with a minimum of 55% marks from a CUSAT recognized university.

Ans. CUSAT offers 90 seats each in B.Tech specializations under its School of Engineering. The seat matrix for B.Tech courses under other schools is as follows:
Out of the total seats offered at CUSAT, 50% of seats are reserved as State Merit Seats for Kearalites having lower fees rate. 45% of School of Engineering seats are offered as All India Merit Seats having higher fees rate which can be opted by both Non-Keralite to Keralite applicants.

Ans. CUSAT Kochi does not accept direct admission to any UG, PG, and Doctoral programs. The admissions are done on the basis of entrance exams like CUSAT CAT/GATE/DATCMAT/KAT.
