The post graduate program (PGP) in Business Leadership (BL) of IIM Kozhikode is a One year Full time Residential program It has been initiated from 16 December,2019. The admission process of the same has been conducted by the best officials. The program has seen a batch of students with diverse backgrounds. Almost 50% of the seats are reserved for women. The expected fee for IIM Kozhikode PGP batch is Rs. 20,50,000. There is no difference in fee for various categories of students. The students' response to the IIM Kozhikode's PGP-LSM program was good. The demand of the course was also high. But as far as the response of the industry is concerned, I think it will take a few more years to assess this. The course is new and will offer opportunities different from that of a general MBA program. Both the courses are not likely to overlap in significance for a few more years....Read more

The EPGCOM or Executive Post Graduate Certificate in Operations Management is an excellent course of IIM Kozhikode. It’s a good choice for those who have been in the operations domain and want to pursue it further. If you have no operations background, this course won’t be useful for you. It requires relevant work experience. Although the faculty and teaching methodology for this course is excellent, there is no placement assistance provided by EPGCOM. So if you have relevant experience and wish to climb the ladder further then this course is the best option....Read more

IIM Kozhikode does not offer any specialization degree. It offers a General Management or PGDM (Post Graduate Diploma in Management). This is somewhat equivalent to an MBA. It doesn’t offer specific PGDM in Operations, Finance, HR, etc. A variety of electives are offered in the second year. You may choose these on the basis of your interests and the career you wish to pursue. The area offers a list of elective courses in which the students choose to have a career in the human resource field or develop their people management competency. Some elective courses are as follows: Legal Aspects of HRM Strategic HRM Some Recent OB Inputs for Enhancing Employee Performance and Humanistic Orientation in Workplace Compensation and Rewards Management Performance Management Leadership: Applied, Conceptual and Evolving Discovering Self Negotiations & Conflicts Resolution Management Consulting: Profession and Practice Managing Creativity Organization Change and Development Recruitment & Selection Honestly, IIM Kozhikode is not a good option for HR. The new PGP courses in Finance and Liberal Arts have a lot of expectations. My friend met a few professors from IIM Kozhikode and they were really looking forward to these courses. The only drawback is that the placement opportunities for these courses are still unknown. So all we can do is wait for the best results....Read more
