The course is great, and the curriculum of the institution is good. There is a lot to learn about the practical skills workshops. Industrial visits are the initiatives to develop the students.
There are internships provided by the National Institute of Technology Calicut to all the students, as it has built a reputation of being a very good college in the country.
Placements are very good here, with almost 90% of the students getting placed with an average package of 13 LPA.
Otherwise, for middle-income families, these colleges were a boon - with good curriculum and faculty, great placement support, and excellent infrastructure at an affordable cost.
The extracurricular activities have a perfect balance with academics. The sports, arts, music, literature, etc., are supported by the authorities. There are special clubs and funds for encouraging these activities.
Being located in Kerala, the view from the hostel is very beautiful with all that greenery, hills, and clouds.
College is designed so that we can address any problem within the college and receive a prompt solution. The management comprises a highly experienced team of professors.

Dislike

The only possibility within the college is to approach a professor and request or apply for a research internship.
Since our location is not popular, placements are not as good compared to other southern NITs circuit branches like CSE and ECE, which have good packages.
For the hostel, we need to pay monthly, and the mess fee is collected separately.
The environment for girls is not good; they have to give roll call by 9 PM, but the same rule does not apply to boys.
The hostel washroom, bathroom, and toilets are very miserable, and the cleaning is never done properly.
The administration system is too bad. Nothing is favorable for students. All rules and regulations are only meant for the easiness of authorities.

nit calicut review about mtech

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because as the semiconductor industry going to boom between 2022-2030 so there will be more jobs available. faculty to student ratio is around 1:20 .all the faculty are PhD and above degree qualified. review the teaching of faculty is excellent. there will be two exams one is mid-term in which you will easily pass but in the end term, there will be some difficulty in passing

Class Size : 20Course Fees : INR 110000 per year

Remarks:

I have given gate exam in 2021 and I got a rank of around 2000 after I take part in counselling of ccmt there in the third round of counselling I get that branch. yes, I have availed the reservation of obc and the fee of the counselling process is around 1000-3000 depending on whether you sit for the spot round or not.
