Course Description

M.A. Psychology or Master of Arts in Psychology is a postgraduate Psychology course. Psychology includes a comprehensive and thorough study of Psychology as a discipline at an advanced level. M.A. (Psychology) degree course covers the study of mental processes, motives, reactions, feelings, conflict resolution, crisis management, groupthink, motivation and nature of the mind. It covers subjects and topics like General Psychology, Social Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Counselling Psychology, Health Psychology, Industrial Psychology, etc. In other words, M.A. (Psychology) degree course is a study involving the scientific study of mental functions and behaviour. 

Eligibility Criteria

Candidate must have done Graduation in relevant stream from a recognized College/University.

Admission Guidelines

  1. Admission will be through Entrance Test.
  2. 3% seats are reserved for Physically handicapped Students
  3. 5% Seats are reserved for Defence Personnel’s child/Ex-Serviceman Child.
  4. One Migrant student from Jammu & Kashmir, per course over and above the sanctioned intake capacity will be admitted as per the merit in the entrance test.
