Course Description
M.Sc. Biotechnology or Master of Science in Biotechnology is a postgraduate Biotechnology course. Biotechnology is a field of applied biology that involves the use of living organisms and bioprocesses in engineering, technology, medicine and other fields requiring bioproducts. It aims to deliver high-quality courses with strong vocational elements and professional skills development embedded across the curriculum. It, also, aims at training manpower in the thrust areas of Biotechnology such as Molecular Biology, Genetic Engineering, Agricultural Biotechnology, Applied Microbiology, Bioinformatics and Bioprocess Technology. More clearly, Biotechnology is a field of applied biology that involves the use of living organisms and bioprocesses in engineering, technology, medicine and other fields requiring bioproducts. Biotechnology also utilizes these products for manufacturing purposes.
Eligibility Criteria
Aspirants seeking admission to 2 year Full-time M.Sc Program must have done Graduation in relevant stream from recognized College/University.

Admission to M.Sc. Biotechnology is done through Combined Entrance Examination (CEE) conducted by JNU, New Delhi for several DBT-supported participating Universities/Institutes in India including Savitribai Phule Pune University.
