No, there is no such dress-code in IIT Bhubaneswar. But there are few basic rules regarding dress code like other colleges IIT Bhubaneswar expects the girls to follow. Yes, the main new campus hostel will accommodate M.Tech students. Due to severe cyclonic storm Fani, the main campus of IIT Bhubaneswar which is at Argul took huge damage. But the authorities acted quickly on renovation and from May 2019, M.Tech students were accommodated at the permanent campus in Argul along with other students. There are accommodations for both boys and girls in Brahmaputra Hall of Residence and Ganga Hall of Residence respectively. Hostel rooms are on a single-occupant basis. Hostels are equipped with basic facilities like Wi-Fi, Basketball Court, Volleyball Court, Badminton Court, Table Tennis, and Carrom, etc. Inside the campus, there are ATM facilities available 24 hours. There is also a small shopping complex from where students can buy their daily necessities.

When will IIT Bhubaneswar's new campus be ready for students to shift?

IIT Bhubaneswar has a permanent campus of 936 acres established in 2008. Most of the campus buildings have been up and running since 2015. There are separate hostels for boys and girls and all the accommodation has been shifted to the new campus, which is 30 kilometers away from the old campus. There are enough numbers of lifts, washing machines, Geysers, Water Purifier cum cooler in every wing. There are also common rooms (with TV sets), library and gym facilities inside the hostel itself. As of 2019 two more boys hostel have been established. There are separate buildings for first-year classes and a lab complex that has been made for students. Admission:

As per my experience, the admission process is too good. There will be a mock round given by Josaa for the students so that they can aware of the counselling system. Everything was very clear to me during the admission process. But they should try to not take useless information like some of the medical tests. otherwise, everything was very easy and simple for me.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As per my rank, I'm getting only the metallurgy branches in IIT BBS. So I decided to go to IIT instead of getting admission to NIT colleges. Here the ratio of faculty: to students is too good like 1:20. Faculty are highly educated even some of them collaborate with high-standard scientists from foreign countries. Everyone has tonnes of papers published in one of the famous publishers. Literally, they are highly educated people that you will go to meet in your life. Exams will always come after 1 and 1/2 months. Moreover, it is easy to tackle as exams contain the question from the assignment and notes that the professor has given you.

The admission process for all the IITs is By Jee advanced exam. Candidates can write Jee advanced after clearing the cut-off for Jee mains. After the exam, the seats for IITs are allotted by JoSAA based on the ranks given. Application forms for Jee are available on the NTA website.

I got an electrical branch for my rank. In the first year, we have subjects from every branch. Every student of any branch has to study all the subjects in the first year. We have 2 semesters. For one semester, grading will be 50 percent end sem,30 percent mid-sem, and 20 percent internals. The curriculum is good. All the teachers are highly qualified. The difficulty of our exams is between moderate to difficult.

Best college ever

The exam I took was JEE advance and the admission process was on JOSAA it provides all the NITs IITs IITs and GFTIs on site we need to add the colleges and courses according to our JEE rank and previous years cut offs it actually takes 6 rounds for completing the admission process and 2 special rounds are provided for NITs and IITs and GFTIs who have not got anything in the 6 rounds can try in special rounds reservation is applicable in this admission process and a female reservation is also applicable for female aspirants.

The curriculum was fine and the teachers are well trained and have tons of experience and my course is computer science I m very much interested in coding stuff that's y I choose this branch and the student ratio may be 1:4 (females:males ) it is easy to get good marks if one pays attention from initial stage its not a big deal to pass in exams it depends on the individual and his capability and the exam schedule is there will 2 exams in a sem one is mid sem and the other is end sem actually a sem consists of 4 months after first 2 months there will be mid exams and then semester examinations. The quality of the teachers is excellent

The cutoff should be minimum for reservation candidates because they do hard work to get admission even not knowing clearly about the process. It will be better if the application forms, fees, and dates are provided on the respective websites. And the students have to explore the topics discussed in classes in practice.

I am interested in machinery. So I took Mechanical Engineering. Faculty members are good. The ratio will be 1:5. Teaching will be really good. Passing term exams will be easier when we go to every class. And it will be tough if we don't attend the classes regularly.

The admission to IIT's is based on your JEE Advanced Rank. First, National Testing Agency(NTA) conducted JEE Mains then top 250000 students can appear for Jee Advanced which was condcted by IIT itself. Jee Mains will get you admission in NIT, IIIT and GFTI's.

I have choosen this course because of my rank and then interest. I always want some circital branch and at my rank this is the best that i can get. Our student to faculty ratio is 15:1 and most of the teachers are very kind and helpful to students. Monthly there are 2-3 class tests and if you study for 2 hours daily you can easily top them.
