Admission:

As per my experience, the admission process is too good. There will be a mock round given by Josaa for the students so that they can aware of the counselling system. Everything was very clear to me during the admission process. But they should try to not take useless information like some of the medical tests. otherwise, everything was very easy and simple for me.

The cutoff should be minimum for reservation candidates because they do hard work to get admission even not knowing clearly about the process. It will be better if the application forms, fees, and dates are provided on the respective websites. And the students have to explore the topics discussed in classes in practice.

Ques. Are medical tests required for admission at IIT Bhubaneswar as given in annexure IV?

● Top Answer By Siddhart Sengupta on 19 Aug 20

The medical tests is an obvious requirement for admission at IIT Bhubaneswar as given in annexure IV. If by chance, you couldn’t get that done then you can get it from the institutes linked with the hospitals taking these tests. IIT Bhubaneswar asks about your medical report before you are going for the counselling in a prescribed manner. It is not a hectic process and should not be much of a hassle. It's better that you complete the tests in your home and thus it makes the registration process easier. You have to take the printout of the form provided by the IIT and visit the nearest government hospital. You will be provided all the reports within 3 or 4 days after the medical reports come. Even some of the government hospitals give the reports the next day, so there is no need to get worried....Read more

Ques. What is the syllabus for the M-Tech admission test at IIT Bhubaneswar in civil engineering?

● Top Answer By Suresh Vishnoi on 14 Aug 20

Question papers from previous years suggest the M.Tech admission test at IIT Bhubaneswar in civil engineering follows the same syllabus as GATE. In the written examination, there are mostly conceptual questions from core subjects as well as questions from mathematics and aptitude. So, it would be wise to prepare ahead of time by solving all the previous year’s question papers and also study the basics of all the subjects side by side. But as it is IIT, there is no boundary of the questions. So, cover your basics thoroughly. Results of the admission test are declared within 1 hour of the exam. Ques. What is the procedure at IIT Bhubaneswar?

● Top Answer By Asish Gupta on 14 Aug 20

The institute offers diverse courses at all levels, i.e., Undergraduate, Post-Graduate, Ph.D., and Fellowship programs. The admission procedure at IIT Bhubaneswar is similar to that of any other IIT. For undergraduate admissions, all of the IITs hold a two-tier entrance examination called the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE). The first tier of the entrance test is known as JEE Mains and the second one is JEE Advanced. Once you go through JEE Mains, you are allowed to sit for JEE Advanced. If you clear JEE Advanced you will have the chance to get admission to the desired IIT. In order to be eligible for admission at any IIT, candidates must clear both the exams and must have secured a good rank. If you secure the cutoff asked by the institute you can choose the institutes and courses, in the order of your preference during Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) counseling. After document verification, the authority allocates you to the institute as per your ranking and preference. For getting admission in postgraduate courses you need to clear GATE and the departmental interviews....Read more

Note that the mode of fee deposit can be online banking or through demand draft. When you reach the campus documents will be verified and you will also be required to sign some undertakings such as anti-ragging, guardian’s undertaking, and few more. After completing the deposition of fees, you are allowed to visit your department for further proceedings. The remission of fees is considered later and is subject to the submission of all documents. If you want to opt for hostel than you need to mention it in the registration process and further you will be allotted hostel room number. Even if you want to be day-scholar, it needed to be mentioned whether you need bus services or not.
