Ques. Which is better GNDU or LPU for a B.Tech in CSE?

● Top Answer By Sandhya R on 21 Oct 21

Ans. If you need exposure, a competitive environment, a good crowd, and a larger number of companies to become involved in campus recruitment, then LPU is the place to be. However, they charge high tuition, and their total intake strength is around 3–4k students in a single batch. As a result, getting a job at LPU is also a bit competitive. On the other hand, GNDU Amritsar appears to be a better choice than LPU because you will get everything you need in this college, such as exposure, a competitive environment, and everything else a student needs during his or her journey to success.  Furthermore, GNDU is a government college, so having a degree from a government college helps you in the future for placement. GNDU offers good placement opportunities. In the recent placement drive, the highest CTC offered was 13 LPA.  So, in my opinion, GNDU Amritsar is a better choice than LPU. Go for it.Read more

Ques. What are some helpful tips for students starting their first year at GNDU?

● Top Answer By Aaditya Hari Nair on 21 Oct 21

Ans. My brother is in GNDU and here are his tips. Enjoy your initial days at the campus, as these will not be repeated any time soon. Take advantage of every opportunity to live life to the fullest. Try hard to achieve the CGPA/SGPA/Percentage eligibility criteria. It would reduce the likelihood of failures and low grades in the end. To cover good grades in the end, try to score higher on minor exams (MSTs). The lesser the syllabus, the higher the scoring aspect. Don’t wait until finals. Maintain consistency. Revision every day will keep help you stay up to date while reducing the amount of pressure at the end. Try to read more books to clear up any remaining doubts and gain a broader perspective on concepts. Try to exceed 75% attendance. These are some of the things that you should keep in mind. Read more

Ques. What are the best things for GNDU students to do on weekends?

● Top Answer By Aaditya Hari Nair on 21 Oct 21

Ans. I have a few friends from GNDU and according to them, here are some of the things that you can do on weekends.  GNDU is known for its massive collection of periodicals and historical records. The book collection is fantastic, and it's the finest place to be because you'll have so much to explore. Make the most of your time at the GNDU library because it houses some rare publications, papers, and manuscripts, particularly in the fields of science and architecture. If you enjoy nature, you have arrived at one of India's top campuses. You can see migratory birds, including some Himalayan birds migrating south for the winter. Work on improving your photography skills. Amritsar, particularly especially GNDU and the surrounding regions, is a photographer's dream.  The food here is the best. Chole Kulche is a popular Amritsar street food, and there is one particular restaurant at Hall Gate, directly across from the IDBI Bank, that serves the tastiest.  If you want to experience modernity and contemporary culture, go to Lawrence Road, where two new malls have recently opened. Ranjit Avenue is also worth visiting. Take the train to Attari, the border settlement, from Cherrhahata Sahib. You will simply enjoy the journey, it is breathtaking. Overall, Amritsar has a lot to offer, but most of it is buried within the city walls, and much of it is unknown to tourists, so much of it is often overlooked. So try to explore and enjoy to the fullest. Make the most of your time until you are in GNDU.Read more

Ques. How do I get a transcript from GNDU Amritsar?

● Top Answer By Aaditya Hari Nair on 21 Oct 21

Ans. Well, the procedure is straightforward. You have to go to the Administration Block and the Transcripts Office on the top floor. You need to submit an application that explains why you require transcripts and lists all required credentials. Furthermore, you must pay a fee that is determined by the number of transcripts you require. Three sets of them used to cost 7000 INR each (one set comprised eight transcripts, one for each semester of B.tech), a few years back. You can pay the fee and receive a token slip from the accounting department. The token must then be submitted to the Administration Block office. They'll most likely tell you to wait a week, but if you're lucky, you'll get them sooner.Read more

Ques. Which one is the best GNDU Amritsar or HPU UIIT Shimla?

● Top Answer By Aaditya Hari Nair on 21 Oct 21

Ans. It entirely depends on which course you are opting for. Generally, in comparison, GNDU Amritsar will have the upper hand over HPU UIIT Shimla on the basis of the institute level and the infrastructure.  GNDU Amritsar has very good infrastructure and facilities. The environment of the institute is very good and well for studies. The seniors present there are helpful too. GNDU Amritsar has also got a huge library which the students can access anytime. The library is fully air-conditioned along with the separate reading rooms. The institute is also famous for its huge achievements in the field of sports. GNDU offers decent placement opportunities. In 2021, the highest CTC offered was 13 LPA. Read more
