LPU B.Ed admission 2024 is open now. Admission to B.Ed at LPU will be done through the LPUNEST entrance examination. The last date to apply for LPUNEST 2024 Phase-I is January 25, 2024. LPUNEST 2024 Schedule 1 Exam will be held from January 20 to February 05, 2024.

LPU B.Ed Course

Lovely Professional University offers a B.Ed program that aims in preparing quality teachers for the betterment of students. Students under this course are prepared through intensive training, field engagement, and a comprehensive curriculum which focus on developing the ability to qualify CTET/ STET. The course is being run for the duration of 2 years. Each academic year of the program comprises two semesters. Below mentioned is the semester wise curriculum:

• Foundation Courses: Provide base for learning the core courses.
• Core Courses: Provide base for learning the basics of major areas/ programmes/ discipline.
• Specializations and Electives: Elective courses from within the discipline are provided to give more depth to student's core competencies.

Further, LLPU B.Ed end term and mid term examinations are conducted at the end of each semester. After the publication of results, if a student remains satisfied with the evaluation, he/she can apply for re-evaluation of the answer booklet.

LPU B.Ed Eligibility Criteria

Candidates interested in the B.Ed program of LPU must fulfill the following criteria: 

• Candidates with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Sciences, Social Sciences, Humanities, Commerce or equivalent must have at least 50% marks in aggregate.
• Candidates with a B.Tech or BE degree with specializations in Science and Mathematics or equivalent should have a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate.
• Candidates taking up the concerned subject combination must have studied them for a minimum of three years in their Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
• A relaxation of 5% is provided to SC/ ST/ BC applicants.

Admissions into the B.Ed course of LPU are merit based determined on the basis of the candidate’s performance in qualifying examinations. Candidates who fulfil the above mentioned eligibility criteria are only eligible for further admission process. 

How to Apply?

Below mentioned are the steps to apply for the programme:

1. Visit the official website of LPU.
2. Click on ‘Apply Now’.
3. Candidates first need to register themselves in the LPU ADMIT with basic details such as Name, Email ID, Mobile No., State, Gender and Password.
4. Candidates will then receive a mail in their given email id regarding the registration and they will have to confirm it.
5. After successful registration, sign in to their LPU ADMIT account with their created username and password.
6. Fill the application form with the necessary details such as qualification, academic and personal details.
7. Upload scanned copies of your recent photograph, signature, matriculation marksheet, qualifying exam certificate/ marksheet and address proof.
8. Deposit the test fee:
   • Cost of Application form and Soft copy of LPUNEST Kit is INR 1000 (for Boys) and INR 500 (for Girls).
   • Cost of Application form and Printed LPUNEST Kit is INR 1500 (for Boys) and INR 1000 (for Girls).
9. Submit the application form.
10. After the document verification process, candidates need to deposit the balance fee within the timelines prescribed by the university..

B.Ed program in LPU is offered for a duration of 4 semesters. More details related to the course are mentioned below.

Pedagogy: B.Ed is offered in the form of pedagogy subjects. Each student needs to select one pedagogy subject from Basket-I and a second pedagogy subject from Basket-II and should be different. Pedagogy of language can be studied with any of the other pedagogy subjects provided it should be studied in Graduation for at least one year. Two languages as pedagogies can be offered in cases where the candidate has done BA (Hons) in Languages. Language of Hons. subject will become major subject and other language will be the minor one.
