COVID-19 Frontline Scholarship

LPU offering Rs 20 Crores’ Scholarships to the Wards of COVID-19 Frontline Work-Force & Affected Ones:
LPU introduces the Covid -19 Frontline Scholarship scheme to honor the selfless contribution of all Covid-19 Warriors during the pandemic breakout. Lovely Professional University (LPU) has initiated to provide Scholarship worth INR 20 Crores to their wards, under its CSR activity. These scholarships will be offered in all the regular programs for the Academic Session 2020-21, and are for the full duration of the program. MBA (Hons) and M.A (Hindi/ Punjabi) by paying a nominal fee of INR 10,000. Flexible payment options have been introduced to help students during these hard times. Under an ideal situation, the balance payment of fee is paid within 10-15 days after the allotment of the seat; however, in the current uncertain situation, LPU will provide reasonable time for payment of balance fee. An applicant may pay the balance fee in parts till 30th June 2020.

Scholarship Categories

Scholarships are awarded to candidates based on their performance in any of the following categories:

  • Eligibility Qualification: On the basis of performance in 10+2 for UG Programs and Graduation for PG Programs and Qualification previous to eligibility qualification on the basis of performance in 10th for UG Programs and 10+2 for PG Programs.
  • Special COVID-19 Frontline Scholarship: INR 20 crores support Initiative.
  • LPU’s Entrance and Scholarship Test: LPUNEST
  • Certain National Level Tests (like JEE (Mains), NEET, UCEED, CAT, MAT, GATE, GPAT, etc.

Each category represents specific criteria (for example scores in qualifying exam) which an applicant has to reach for him/her to fall in that particular bracket. The criteria in each category decrease as it proceeds and so does the scholarships. So, the students meeting the requirement of Category - 1 gets the highest Scholarship and those in Category - 2 or 3 get a relatively lesser scholarship.
