Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law (RGNUL), Punjab, was established by the State Legislature of Punjab in 2006. The University offers an integrated B.A.-L.L.B. Hons.(Bachelor of arts-Bachelor of legislative law) course, L.L.M.( Master of Law) and PHD in several specialisations.
RGNUL is a public university and is approved by UGC and Bar Council Of India.It is also NAAC ( Grade A ) accredited. Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law (RGNUL) Scholarships
Under the Central Sector Scholarship Scheme of Top Class Education for Scheduled Caste (SC) Students, five scholarships have been allotted by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India to this University.The University may give maximum concession up to 50% of the tuition fee to two most deserving students. Under the Central Sector Scholarship Scheme of Top Class Education for Scheduled Tribe (ST) Students, two scholarships have been allotted by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India to this University.

The university has various facilities as mentioned above, some of them are :
- Hostels - The Institute has 8 hostels in total, 4 for boys and 4 for girls. All the hostels are equipped with an aqua guard with a water-cooler to ensure 24-hour pure drinkable water supply. Proper hygiene and sanitation facilities are maintained by 24 - hour housekeeping service. The hostels are also equipped with 24 hour secured Wifi connection.
- Computer Labs - The University has established two fully air conditioned computer Labs with 80 computers having the latest configuration and high speed internet facility.
- Dining Hall - The hostels have fully Air-Conditioned dining halls separate for boys and girls having a total capacity of 330 students each.
- Gymnasium - Gym is well equipped with cardio machines like treadmills, cross trainer, spin bikes, etc.; and also has machines for weight training. Professionally trained personal trainers/ coaches, for boys and girls separately, are available to guide the work out regimes of the members attending the Gym.
