BITS Pilani - Its Magic

Placement Experience:

All three campus has a centralized PS and Placement facility. The PS is an internship every student has to pursue mandatorily in order to complete the degree in 2nd and final year. Most of the students get places in PS2 whereas the rest sit for Placement and get placed. The exact statistics are not released but apparently, there are 100% chances of getting placed.

Internships Opportunities:

The students have to complete Practice School as a part of Degree requirements where students are sent for 2.5 and 5. 5 months of Internship to different locations at companies for industrial exposure. All roles including core, IT, finance, and management are present.

Nearly every company visits the campus. Students in their 4th year sit for the placements(5th year for dualities). The average package of the college is around 18LPA, and there is 100% placement. Students go for Practise school (PS) to gain industrial exposure(PS-1 after end of first year and PS-2 in the final year)

The placements do not need to be questioned in bits Hyderabad. If a person maintains his CGPA he would be eligible for most of the companies coming to the campus. Many people minor in Data science and finance and take placements too.

As i have mentioned before Bits follows PS system where the internship is provided by the college itself at the end of second year and fourth year. Experience of an amateur

Placement Experience:

Here, the college invites companies for recruiting us. All the top companies visit our college. I am not aware of the exact selectivity rate, but it is good. The highest package was offered in domestic for 90lacs by Polygon. The average package is 18-19 lacs for all departments, and 30 lacs for IT placements. My plans after getting a degree are to do a job for 2 years and then MS. Students get recruited for internship from 3rd year onwards.

Internships Opportunities:

Companies - Google, Microsoft, apple, uber, rubricks, sprinklr, amazon, deShaw, etc. These are a few companies that give a high salary. They generally give roles for SDE. We have PS-1 (it is cg based), SI(done after 3rd year in breaks), and PS-2 (done in 4th year).

The college has a good track record of securing high-paying jobs for its students. The average salary package offered to students is usually around 9-11 LPA. Many reputed companies like Google, Microsoft, Amazon, GS, Deloitte, KPMG, and others visit the campus to recruit students. The college also has a strong alumni network that helps students to secure job opportunities through alumni referrals.

Summer Internship: Paid Internship at the biggest firm in the world from offers going up to 12,50,000 lakhs per month (international offer). 3. Practice School 2 (PS2): Paid internships with a high probability of PPO offers.
