Central University of Rajasthan (CURAJ), established in the year 2009, is a central university located in Ajmer, Rajasthan. The university has been accredited by NAAC with ‘A’ grade and ranked 34th on NIRF 2016 Ranking. CURAJ offers various Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Ph.D. level programs in the fields of Science, Arts, Commerce, Architecture, English & Comparative Literature and more. Admission to all courses is done on the basis of the entrance exam namely- CUCET. It also accepts the national level entrance exam such as GATE/ CMAT/ CAT/ MAT.

Central University of Rajasthan Admission

The application process is done through online mode only. Candidates who wish to apply can submit the application form on the official website of the university. They also have to pay an application fee at the time of application form submission.

The admission is done on the basis of entrance exam namely- CUCET (Central Universities Common Entrance Test) followed by a personal interview round. The final selection is done on the basis of the overall performance of the candidate. Applicants having valid GATE/ CAT/ MAT/ CMAT scores are exempted from the entrance test. Also, they get preference while admission process.

CUCET

CUCET (Central Universities Common Entrance Test) is a national level exam which is conducted every year in the month of May-June. The exam is held in both online and offline mode for admission to UG and PG courses. The minimum CUCET Eligibility is class 12. The application form is available on the official website of the exam. CUCET 2019 exam pattern consists of two parts, which tests the analytical knowledge and subject knowledge of the student.

Note: The eligibility criteria depends on a valid score in CUCET according to CUCET Cutoff.

Following are the scholarships provided by the university: 

  • Single Girl Child Scholarship of INR 2,000 per month by UGC (Government of India)
  • Scholarships of INR 1,000 per month to 1st three toppers in every program
  • Post Metric Scholarship for SC/ST/OBC students
  • University Non-JRF Ph.D. Scholarship of INR 8000 per month
