Admission:
There are a total of 23 NLUs in India. NLU is the top law college in India. National law university Jodhpur stands at Rank 5 in India. To get into NLU one has to give an entrance exam named CLAT(common law admission test) and clear the minimum cut-off. This exam has negative marks as well. There will be 0.25 negative for every wrong answer. There are a total of 4 parts on which the exam is conducted i.e English, Reasoning (Critical and analytical), Legal aptitude, and maths. Every NLU has different Cut offs as per the ranking. After clearing the minimum cut-offs students will get allotted different NLUs as per their marks in the entrance exam.
I personally dropped out for a year for getting into NLU'S. CLAT entrance exam is of 200 marks total out of which one has to clear the minimum cut-offs to get the NLU'S. I scored 88.9 marks out of 200 with a negative marking.
