Annamalai University MBBS Eligibility Criteria
In order to be eligible for MBBS admission at Annamalai University, candidates must fulfill the following requirements:
Eligibility of the candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu:
- Candidates who have passed VIII, IX, X, XI, and XII in Tamil Nadu are eligible to apply without the need for a native certificate.
- Candidates who are from Tamil Nadu but have passed VIII, IX, X, XI, and XII from schools situated outside Tamil Nadu are also eligible to apply with a native certificate.
- Children of Central Government Employees are also eligible to apply.
- Sons and Daughters of all India service Tamil Nadu Cadre are also eligible to apply.
- Children of employees in the public or government sector for the past 5 years are also eligible to apply with evidence like income tax return and PF Slip.
- Candidates who have passed VIII, IX, X, XI, and XII from another state of Tamil Nadu are also eligible to apply without the need for a native certificate.
Eligibility of the Candidates:
- Candidates should clear 10+2 with a minimum of 60% marks in Biology or Botany and Zoology taken together and for the reserved category, 40% is a minimum required percentage.
OR
- Candidates should clear 10+2 with 60% marks in each of the subjects of Physics and Chemistry and for the reserved category, 40% is a minimum required percentage.
Annamalai University MBBS Admission Criteria
Candidates seeking admission to the MBBS program at Annamalai University must appear for the NEET entrance examination, conducted by NTA. Candidates who clear the entrance examination will be called for counselling. Seats are allocated on the basis of NEET scores, academic qualifications, availability of seats, reservation criteria, and other factors.

Annamalai University MBBS Application Process
- NEET Association prepares a merit list on the basis of the candidate’s performance in the entrance exam.
- No separate entrance tests are required for admissions to the same.
- Candidates need to fill the application form after registration. Click here for the application form.
- Candidates should have to pay Rs.800 as admission fees.
- Candidates shortlisted will be required to register themself for M.B.B.S counselling by filling the registration form and paying INR 5000 as a registration fee on the Annamalai University website.
- Successfully registered candidates then have to attend the counselling on the prescribed date.
- Final seat allocation will be subjected to the availability of seats.

Annamalai University MBBS Reservation
There is 150 seats intake capacity in the course which is divided into further as per the reservation:

Annamalai University MBBS Scholarship
The students of Annamalai University can avail the Government Scholarships subject to eligibility.
- First Graduate Tuition Fee Concession:- The Government of Tamil Nadu has ordered to grant tuition fee concession to the candidates who are to be the first graduate in a family. From the year 2013-14 onwards the tuition fee concession for First Graduate has also been extended to the students in Annamalai University.
- Minority Scholarship Merit cum means Scholarship: This scholarship is awarded to mention to meritorious minority communities students to pursue professional and technical courses. The annual income to the parent or guardian should not exceed Rs. 2, 50,000/- from all sources that are eligible for the scholarship.
- Post Matric Scholarship: The Government has ordered to grant Post Matric Scholarship to SC/SCA/ST candidates, whose parental annual income is less than Rs. 2,50,000/- and for SC/SCA converted Christians whose parental annual income is less than Rs 2,00,000/- from all the sources. The eligible candidates have to submit an income certificate obtained from appropriate authorities.
- Higher Education Special Scholarship: Higher Education Special Scholarship is awarded to the hostel students belonging to SC / SCA / ST and Converted Christian categories. The annual income from all sources should not exceed Rs 2, 00,000/- per annum.
