Ans. Cybersecurity is a great discipline for a PG degree in Computer Science. It has huge scope in research and jobs in the industry. However, Karunya University is deemed to be a university with minority status. It ranks lower than IITs, NITs, IIITs, Central Universities, State Universities, and reputed Govt. University colleges like UVCE Bangalore, CEG Chennai, etc. However, their MTech program has tie-ups with foreign universities. But don’t expect much from the University. I am saying this because my brother is an alumnus of the university. The education quality of the University is poor. Only a few of the faculty members are academically qualified but, they are incapable of teaching. They lack the ability to provide real-time explanations for any problem. However, IAESTE is a way through which you can get exposure in your field of study. In fact, it is the only way through which you will get exposure in your field of study. To conclude, Karunya University is definitely not the first choice for an M.Tech in Cybersecurity but it is not a bad choice either.Read more

Ans. One of my friends studied at Karunya University. According to him, all colleges have pros and cons and Karunya University was nothing different. Here are some things he mentioned about the college which might give you a clear idea. Pros of Karunya University include: It has a decent infrastructure It has around 80% placement rate Great atmosphere and environment as the campus is surrounded by mountains. The climate tends to be good and the place has scenic beauty. The hostels are better than the other colleges and they provide decent quality food. Few departments of Karunya University have good academic plans and syllabus. Good exposure to a diverse culture with international and interstate students. All the restrictions imposed will be only for the first year. Only for the B.Tech course students, the hostel services are compulsory. Rest of the students are allowed to stay outside the campus. Cons or Karunya University includes: It has a high fee structure Compulsory attendance is required for the morning assembly. The students who somehow failed to pay the fees are not allowed to sit in the exams. The placements of some departments are not so great for which the placement rate is 80% and not 100%. The faculty tends to deduct internal marks over unreasonable issues. You can opt for Karunya University if you are interested. It has a decent infrastructure and is a residential college with high standards. Otherwise, you can also opt for any other college affiliated with Anna University.Read more

The academics and teaching methodology employed at the institute is great. However, the placement record of the university is not that great. The companies that come to campus placement for MBA are very few in number. But if you have the required skills you can get off-campus placement. "A GOOD PLACE TO PURSUE YOUR B.TECH"

Course Curriculum Overview :

I had an interest in Electronics since my school days and decided to pursue my under - graduation on the same. Choosing the department of ECE in Karunya was the right decision. The teacher-student relationship is very important in a college and the department has had a very healthy one, since day one. The faculties in the department are mostly PhD qualified. The exams are conducted frequently with three internal tests every 25th working day (of the total 90 working days) and finally an END semester exam. Its easy to pass the exam if you are regular in studies.

Hi Dhanalakshmi, counseling process is not involved for admission in B.Sc Agriculture. Students who have passed 10 2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology/Zoology/Botany/Computer Science as compulsory subjects from any recognized board with minimum 60% marks in aggregate are eligible for admission. Selection is done on the basis of merit only.
