Ques. Who is the best professor at NIT Trichy?

There are several excellent professors in every department at NIT Trichy. In the Chemical Engineering department, there are a number of faculties who have their qualifications and achievements worth listing. Some of them are listed below. Dr. T. K. Radhakrishnan - He is one of the most notified professors in NIT Trichy. Dr. Radhakrishnan has over 60 papers presented in his career and has written several journals. Dr. N. Anantharaman -He is famous for his relaxed classes and teaching style in the Chemical Engineering department. He has over 60 publications in total and also has authored few books on several topics. Dr. (Mrs). K. M. Meera S. Begum- She teaches the most important “Mass Transfer” subject in Chemical Engineering, and takes a lot of classes. She provides students with some excellent fundas that are relevant and very useful. She also has several publications in her career. Most of the faculties of NIT Trichy Instrumentation and Control Engineering are good. Some of them are reputed for their teaching methodology. Faculties will guide you in your studies but you need to do self-study to perform well. Don’t depend entirely on the faculties for academics. Ques. Is it true that in NIT Trichy, Calicut, and other south colleges the professors teach in Malayalam or other regional languages?

Yes, there are many Malayali teachers at NIT Calicut and they sometimes use a few Malayalam words while teaching, but this isn't a big thing to worry about. There is wide variation in faculty and it is possible for them to use some of their regional words by accident, but teaching all the subjects in any other regional words is very unlikely to happen. English is the most spoken language by them and all the classes are also conducted in the same. Some teachers might not be as fluent as you would expect them to be, but they are not very bad at it and easily get their job done. Some teachers speak in Hindi also and sometimes use it to explain complex topics to the students. There is no matter of concern as they do speak English very well except for a few, but there is a Malayalam accent in their language. ...Read more

Ques. How are the NIT, Trichy CSE and MNNIT, Allahabad CSE placements, faculty-wise?

According to NIRF Engineering ranking 2020, NIT Trichy stands at 12th position, on the other hand, MNNIT secures an impressive 48th rank. Both the colleges boast to have placed 90% of its students in the recruitment process. Admission: Students get admission into NITs based on their JEE(for undergraduates) main rank. A good score would help them to secure a place. Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics with 75% marks. For MTech, students need to apply for GATE, followed by CCMT counseling. The cut-off rank for BTech CSE at NIT Trichy and at MNNIT Allahabad is 280-1373 and 1269-3101respectively. Facilities: Facilities available at NIT Trichy include a modern central library with a collection of more than 2 lakh books, cafeteria, computer center- THE OCTAGON, transport, hostel, and mess. MNNIT has a total of 7 hostels, book and stationery shop, digital library, guest room, free internet connectivity, student club, and a lot more. Fees: NITs have an affordable fee structure for their students. Colleges also give scholarships to their students. Day boarders pay a little less than those who avail the hostel and mess facility. Course NIT TRICHY MNNIT ALLAHABAD BTech(per year) INR 1.49 lakhs INR 84,666 MTech(per year) INR 99,250 INR 1.13 lakhs Faculty: NIT Trichy has experienced facilities that graduated from IITs and NITs, which include 358 professors out of which 267 are Ph.D. holders. MNNIT Allahabad has a good number of faculties that include highly qualified Ph.D. holders from relevant fields. Placements: NIT Trichy: In the recent placements, a total of 220 companies visited NIT Trichy. 100% placement was recorded in the Computer Science branch. The highest package offered was INR 40 lakhs. Prominent recruiters include Infosys, TCS, and Facebook. MNNIT Allahabad: In the recent placement drive, a total of 792 students were placed. 97.60% of students were placed from the Computer science branch. The highest package offered to the CSE students was INR 36 LPA and the average package was INR 15 LPA. These colleges do give exposure to research and development.
