NIT Trichy MCA Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in B.Sc. / B.Sc. (Hons.) / BCA / BIT / B. Voc. (Computer Science/ Computer Applications) / BBA (Computer Applications) with Mathematics/ Business Mathematics / Statistics as one of the subjects with minimum 60% marks or 6.5/10 CGPA.
- For SC/ST candidates, the minimum required is 55% marks or 6.0/10 CGPA.

- Admission into the MCA program offered by NIT Trichy is based on the rank obtained in the NIMCET entrance exam.
- Candidates that qualify must then apply for the Counselling/Seat Allotment process

- Visit the official website of NIMCET and register yourself by creating a Login id and Password
- Then fill the application form with the correct details and upload all the required documents.
- Next, pay the application fee of INR 2,500 (INR 1,250 for SC/ ST/ PwD category) and submit the form.

NIMCET Exam Pattern
- The NIMCET exam is conducted for a duration of two and a half hours in offline mode.
- It contains MCQ type questions and consists of a total of 120 questions.
- There are four sections in the paper- Mathematics, Analytical Ability and Logical Reasoning, General English and Computer Awareness. The number of questions each section will contain are given below.
- Mathematics: 50
- Analytical Ability and Logical Reasoning: 40
- General English: 20
- Computer Awareness: 10
- Candidates will be rewarded 4 marks for each correct answer. One mark will be deducted for wrong answers.
