Ques. Which one is the best VIT or Anna University?

● Top Answer By Aaditya Hari Nair on 22 Oct 21

Ans. By Anna University, I will mean the three constituent campuses; College of Engineering Guindy (CEG), Madras Institute of Technology (MIT), and Alagappa College of Technology (ACT), and not the affiliated colleges spread all over Tamil Nadu. Anna University is a government university while VIT is a private university. Obviously, there is a huge gap in terms of fees and the overall infrastructure. VIT offers a very posh campus but has a considerably higher fee than Anna University.  The course curriculum is difficult at Anna University than at VIT. However, assessment methods are easy and straightforward here as well. In terms of outright numbers, VIT is better. The placements of CS and IT branches are often better at VIT. However, most of the companies at VIT are mass recruiting IT companies. At Anna University you will get a more variety of companies. The students at VIT have more exposure as compared to those at Anna University. They have foreign exchange programs, better and more clubs to work with, and even a Model United Nations (MUN). At Anna University, you will get mostly Tamil Nadu residents while at VIT students all over the country study. Thus you will get a varied and richer experience there. However, which one is good for you is up to you only and I cannot tell what do you want in your life.Read more

Ques. Which is better, VIT or Kurukshetra University?

● Top Answer By Mansi Bhatnagar on 20 Oct 21

Ans. I have friends from both VIT and Kurukshetra University. Based on the reviews I got from them, I will suggest you choose Kurukshetra University.  Kurukshetra University was accredited NAAC A+ Grade.  In terms of fees, faculties, and reputation Kurukshetra is ahead of VIT.  Technology Education and Research Integrated Institute, Kurukshetra is ranked number 2 Top potential engineering college of India by CSR survey. Many TERiians are currently placed in central and state Govt. departments. Many are pursuing higher education in IITs and foreign universities. Many are also employed in leading MNCs like TCS, IBM, Infosys, etc.  Overall, Kurukshetra University is definitely a better option as compared to VIT. Read more

Ques. Which is better, NIT Puducherry ECE or VIT Vellore CSE?

● Top Answer By Aaditya Hari Nair on 01 Oct 21

Ans. The CSE department is a great department to study in VIT. Students are open to a lot of facilities and learning resources. The teaching staff is helpful as well.  The CSE department of VIT ranks right after top IITs, IIIT Hyderabad, BITS Pilani, and the top NITs. The department is well-reputed in the industry. VIT has a great research culture. The course curriculum is industry-oriented.  The coding culture at VIT is thriving. CSE students from the institute do great in GSoC, ACM ICPS, and other competitions.  There’s a great startup ecosystem on campus at VIT. Many people are doing great things in Machine learning and Artificial Intelligence.  You do not need to worry much about placement if you have joined VIT. In the 2021 placement drive, the highest CTC offered was 75 LPA.  So, choosing VIT for your CSE degree will definitely be worth it. Read more

Ques. What should I prefer Heritage Institute of Technology or VIT?

● Top Answer By Ankita Sarkar on 22 Sept 21

Ans. Honestly, this is not even a comparison. VIT (any campus) is way better than Heritage Institute of Technology. Actually, Heritage Institute of Technology is not even the best college in the Kolkata region. It is the Institute of Engineering and Management (IEM). Heritage Institute of Technology is obviously cheaper than VIT to study and also closer to your home if you are from the eastern region of India. You will get a job after graduating with a starting salary of around INR 3.5 lakhs per annum. If you have financial constraints and you are ok with this kind of starting salary then Heritage Institute of Technology will not disappoint you. However, if you are well enough to pay for the fee of VIT, then in no way you should even think of Heritage Institute of Technology. The environment you will get there are obviously the placements of VIT are way better than Heritage Institute of Technology to even consider them for comparison.Read more

Ques. How is Dayanand Sagar college of engineering compared to VIT?

● Top Answer By Monika on 21 Sept 21

Ans. I have friends from both DSCE and VIT. Here is a comparison of both, based on the conversations I had with them. Quality of Education: (DSCE - 8, VIT - 8) The quality of education offered at both DSCE and VIT is quite similar.  Infrastructure: (DSCE - 8, VIT - 10) Although the infrastructure of DSCE is one of the best in Bangalore. The campus of DSCE is smaller than VIT. So infrastructure wise VIT is better.  Placements: (DSCE - 7, VIT - 8.5) Overall, VIT offers better placements. Although DSCE has a placement average of around 100% for CSE, there are very few core companies visiting the campus for placement drives.  In the recent placement drive, VIT offered an average CTC of 6 LPA. While in DSCE, the average CTC offered is somewhere around 4.5 LPA.  Overall, I will say is better than DSCE. Read more

Admission :

VITEEE Entrance Exam

Remarks :

I have got good reviews from my friend who was already in this college. It has a balanced curriculum, you have to equally manage both academics and extracurricular to develop yourself. There are approximately 20 hostels and 10 academic buildings of different schools. They generally take VIT entrance exam in month of may and result is announced in june montand by mid june you are called to vit centres for admission process. If you have not done well in mains and advance exam and is seeking for college with brighter future than VIT is one after BITS. You can read plenty of reviews on quora to get an insight about the college. Academic building are equipped with necessary requirements and laboratory have all required machinery to practically analyse the subject. Hostels mostly are well furnished , but you need to choose your mess wisely to survive. Most important role is of your branch rank to let you decide which room or which hostel or which mess to choose. Overall it is fun here
