Remarks :

Its prestige, atmosphere and good quality of education drove me here. Also, the resident they provide is cheap and the environment is very friendly. It is actually very safe for girls. Faculty is upto the mark. Also university had Cultural education Centre which includes clubs like literary, fiber arts, drama etc. which eventually helps a student to frame his personality. Being a part of university had a different experience, you came across number of students hailing from diverse background and get to learn a lot and further options are also open for you. Like if you want to pursue masters or anything you have ample guidance here. And for those who are planning for civil there is also an RCA for students. Overall, a lot of opportunities for you.

Placement Experience :

Training and placement office is a department in the university which look after the placement. You need to enroll yourself there.

Remarks :

Most important thing is the fame of AMU and Surety of campus Placements. The good vibes that i heard about AMU as they don't discriminate among their students and the meek behaviour & coordination between the teachers & the students. Thats why i thought that i should also learn a lot of things from this university so that i enhance my ethics & skills that would helped me in future. these all factors drove me to take admission in this university. I opted this course by choice because I want to become a HR Manager.

Placement Experience :

The placements & job opportunities are in large number. The company who were visited the campus - Chegg india ltd. or Vedantu.

Ques. Which is better, IIEST Shibpur IT or AMU CS?

● Top Answer By Aaditya Hari Nair on 19 Jul 21

Ans. My friend studied at IIEST Shibpur but it was a long time ago. The quality of pedagogy back then was good, however now one can't say much of it. Also personally, CS does not have the best faculty in AMU. If you wish to compare the state of teaching in the institutions, just log in to the official website and go through the qualifications of the faculty members. Check both the academic achievements of the faculty in general, as well as that of the departments. If you live near Shibpur then it'll be easier to commute, however, if you live far away then you can choose AMU. You must note that IIEST Shibpur's IT department might have to shut down and you may regret your decision during placements.Read more

Ques. Which is better, AMU or NIT?

● Top Answer By Sandip Pal on 14 May 21

Ans. A few years back, a friend of mine was in a position to choose between lower-ranked NITs and AMU. He chose the latter and based on his experience, he swears by that decision. He later went on to do this postgraduate from NIT Warangal.  Here is his take on AMU and NITs.  ZHCET or AMU is far better than 20 out of 33 NIT’s in India in every domain ranging from placements, internships to faculty, academics, etc. but is behind the top 11 NIT’s of India. Comparing AMU with NITs is quite a large scale. If we compare AMU with one of the top NITs, i.e, NIT Warangal, the infrastructure, library, academics, faculty all are the same but when it comes to placements, NIT Warangal has way better placements.  However, not all NITs have a better placement record than AMU. The bottom-most NIT’s according to placements and academics are as follows. NIT Sikkim < NIT Mizoram < NIT Manipur < NIT Arunachal Pradesh < NIT Nagaland < NIT Meghalaya < NIT Andhra Pradesh < NIT Puducherry < NIT Uttarakhand < NIT Goa < NIT Delhi Where NIT Meghalaya and NIT Andhra Pradesh(NIT Tadepalligudem) lack in campus also.Read more

Ques. How is AMU for a BA LLB?

● Top Answer By Keshav Jindal on 01 Mar 21

Ans. AMU BA LLB is not up to the mark in comparison to other law colleges in India. Instead of going for AMU, you can look up other well-known colleges like NLUs or any other private law colleges. If the option of other colleges doesn’t work you can choose to study in places like- Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Kolkata (preferably in this order). After completing the studies, join law firms and visit the college only to give exams. Similar to correspondence education. Check the rankings of the opted colleges on law websites, not the rankings like India today, etc., and then choose your respective college.Read more

Ques. Which is better for a BA LLB: Jamia or AMU?

● Top Answer By Yashmeet Grover on 01 Mar 21

Ans. Between Jamia and AMU, AMU is the preferable choice. The only drawback of AMU, as a law college, is its location. It is situated in a semi-urban area. This constricts the sea of opportunities that can come along the way if they were located in a completely urban area. Despite the locational disadvantages, you should keep AMU as your first choice. Here are the reasons why. AMU: Culture: It has a distinctive culture, unlike any other college. Faculty: The professors appointed have years of experience, they are one of the oldest members among the multiple law colleges across the globe. Ranking: In recent years the ranking for AMU for Law is as follows. 13th for LAW by NIRF’20 11th for LAW by Indiatoday’20 8th for Law by Indiatoday’19 JMI: Coming to Jamia, the first problematic area of this college is the lack of dorm facilities. Students face, consistently, hostel-related issues. Unlike AMU, Jamia doesn’t have a distinguishable culture on campus, which equals dull campus life. The courses offered by Jamia are as follows.  Five years integrated BA LLB course Four semester LLM course in three different streams i.e. personal law, criminal law, corporate law. Ph.D. program. The scoring of Jamia, based on different aspects is - Reputation- 11 Academic input- 12 Student care- 11 Infrastructure- 12 Placements- 13 Perceptual rank- 12 Factual rank (2020)- 9 (NIRF) Therefore, from the above discussion of facts, it is safe to say AMU should be the first choice.Read more

Ques. Which is the better choice for a BA LLB, Jamia, BHU, or AMU?

● Top Answer By Rohini Mishra on 01 Mar 21

Ans. There are a few law colleges that have been tagged as the “traditional law universities” due to their long history & renowned law faculties. The colleges which fall under this category are- AMU, Jamia, BHU, and GLC Mumbai & DU. although, the reputation of NLUs and their performance can never be surpassed by the above-mentioned law colleges. These universities are well-known & have great faculty that comprises jurists, lawyers, & academicians but their growth rate is slow. They have been able to walk parallel with the changing scenarios in the field of law, including a major deviation from the corporate law field. You need to make the decision about college by keeping in mind what you want to do in the future. In that, the discussion below can be helpful.  Aligarh Muslim University: Recently, AMU is in the limelight due to the high selection rate of its students in the judicial services examination. Also, AMU produces academically high qualified students. The number of people from AMU who have traveled abroad for an LLM degree is less, but nevertheless, it’s an achievement that can't be ignored. There is no placement cell at AMU faculty, which limits the internship opportunities. Since AMU is close to Delhi it makes it convenient for the students to seek internships outside the campus. AMU focuses more on acquiring core law knowledge. This might not be of much help when it comes to practical law (Litigation). However, the competitive environment on the campus helps in clearing competitive exams like judiciary exams, DJs, UPPCSJ. At the end of the day, one needs to decide what they want to do, likewise, choose the kind of knowledge they need. The atmosphere of AMU is not conducive for growth unless the student takes the imitative on its own. The student has to look for internships by themselves without being dependent on the college. Jamia Milia University: There are certain similarities between Jamia and AMU, except for the location. Jamia is located right in the heart of Delhi, thus making it easier for internship opportunities for students. Delhi is a place in terms of developing a legal perspective, therefore widening the exposure of students. The culture of Jamia, along with the enthusiasm for internships is quite lively. Jamia, like AMU, doesn’t have a placement cell on campus. Thus, restricting the job opportunities from the corporate sector of law. BHU: BHU has a placement cell for its students. BHU has kept up with the upcoming trends. A proof of this is the introduction of a 1 year LLM course. This hasn’t been adopted by the other two colleges yet. So, keep these things in mind and decide for yourself.Read more

I opted this university mainly because of its reputation and my course preference. I had in mind a university which would be affordable as well as offer great facilities and study environment. Aligarh Muslim University being a central university features in top 10 ranking of the country, so it has that reputation and facilities exceeds the expectations if you were to count what it is offering in minimal price. So, it was great to finally get selected and now that I have completed my graduation I consider myself eligible to recommend it to other universities prospects.

I chose Amu because its one of the best central university in India and provides a two year specialisation course in Financial Management. Apart from the ranking, I love the calm and supportive environment that AMU have.
