Ques. How will IIT BHU be for an M.Pharm ?

● Top Answer By Sahil Sachdeva on 14 Aug 20

Ans. The department of Pharmaceutical Engineering and Technology offers a 2-year M.Pharm program. It has four specializations, Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacology, and Pharmacognosy. The curriculum includes drug design, drug development, testing, and safe and effective use of drugs or medicines and drug delivery systems. IIT BHU is a good option to study Pharmacy. In 2020, out of 125 students 39 were placed from the Pharmaceuticals Department. An average salary package of 10 lakhs per annum and the highest salary package of 58 lakhs per annum was offered to the students of IIT BHU. Students of IIT BHU acquire internship offers from institutes like University of Tokyo, University of London, University of New South Wales, Harvard University, Yale University. IIT BHU also has collaborations with Universities like Cambridge (UK), Oxford (UK), and Sheffield (UK).Read more

Ques. Should I study CSE at BITS Pilani or CSE at IIT BHU?

● Top Answer By Aaditya Hari Nair on 06 Oct 21

Ans. Having known some people studying in both these institutions, I can say that both are equally good in their own way. They both are established institutions and widely recognized. Let me share some facts about them, which might help you make your decision. BITS Pilani BITS Pilani has a beautiful 990-acre campus that accommodates all of the departments.  The campus is lush green and peaceful.  The students who come here are highly knowledgeable.  They can only get into BITS PILANI if they do well in the BITSAT, which is held every year.  There are also some overseas students. CSE has the highest placement rate here.  Unlike in IITs, there are no reservation quotas here. IIT (BHU) The IIT BHU campus is located in Varanasi. IIT BHU’s campus is royal (more like a temple) and can’t be compared to BITS Pilani.  It covers an area of 1400 acres. The students are highly intelligent and hard working.  However, because the institute is government-run, some students are not from well-off families, and a reservation quota is in place.  IIT BHU is ranked between 6 and 10 among India’s best engineering colleges. If you want to do a master’s degree in India, IITs offer very good packages after both a B.Tech and an M.Tech. Categories CSE at BITS Pilani CSE at IIT BHU Course Fee 19.19 lakh 8.35 lakh Placement Percentage 80% 80% Highest CTC 35 LPA 27 LPA Average CTC 11.37 LPA 13 LPA Lowest CTC 6 LPA 6.93 LPA Recruiting Companies Microsoft, Tech Mahindra, KPMG, HCL, etc. Cognizant, IBM, TCS, Wipro, etc. Therefore, you can see that they both are good. But the choice ultimately depends on you, as this is your career, and you will be responsible for shaping it. So, analyze both of them and choose carefully.Read more

Ques. How are the placements for an M.Tech in the IIT-BHU (Banaras Hindu University)?

● Top Answer By Sudhanshu Kumar on 21 Apr 21

Ans. Although the placement for B.Tech is slightly better, the placement scenario for M.Tech students in IIT BHU is considered to be excellent, the institute being a premium institute in the country. IIT BHU offers several streams for an M.Tech degree, and placements in varying profiles too.  The table below gives a brief overview of M.Tech departments and statistics for IIT BHU. Categories MTech in IIT BHU NIRF ’20 Ranking 11 Overall Fees (M.Tech) Rs. 69,180 Median Salary Offered to students in M.Tech Rs. 8-9 LPA Highest Domestic Package Offered Rs. 65 LPA Highest International Package Offered Rs. 2.03 LPA MTech GATE cut off -  Chemical Engineering - 474 Ceramic Engineering - 350 Geotechnical Engineering - 593 Electrical Engineering (Power Systems) - 743 Microwave Engineering - 634 Thermal and Fluid Engineering - 747 Systems Engineering - 687 Machine Design - 727 Key Highlights: The placement in M.Tech at IIT BHU is definitely top-notch. There is a 90% rate in placement, even in the core branches. For CS, IT, and EXTC branches, the placements are close to 100%, as these are the most trending industries. Students who are successful in cracking GATE and are having a sufficient rank for IIT BHU M.Tech should definitely go for the same, which is one of the best options for his/her career. In IIT BHU M.Tech, students gain actual knowledge in their respective streams. This knowledge will help students achieve their goals in life through their careers and be as successful as they expect to be. Therefore, it can be concluded that M.Tech in IIT BHU is one of the best options for students, considering the placement and overall outcome of the course, whether it be in a core branch or anything related to the corporate IT industry.Read more

Ques. Should I choose NIT Calicut CSE or IIT BHU chemical Engineering?

● Top Answer By Monika on 27 Aug 21

Ans. If you are interested in coding and aim to work in good corporate firms, then it is suggested that you go for CSE at NIT Calicut. But if you want an IIT tag, you can opt for IIT BHU. But this won't matter much afterward. So, if you are focused on doing research then Chemical Engineering at IIT BHU will be a good option. You can also learn coding on the sidelines, which might be beneficial if you sit for placements. Parametres CSE at NIT Calicut Chemical Engineering at IIT BHU Tuition Fee INR 16,000 INR 6.7 LPA Placement Percentage 73.5% 71% Average Package INR 11.57 LPA INR 16.27 LPA The choice of studying in a college pursuing a particular subject is entirely up to you. Check where your strengths and weaknesses lie and then choose accordingly. Both institutes are good in their own way. But it is your hard work and dedication that will prove if CSE or Chemical will be good for you. Read more

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Feasible. Had scholarship. It was very transparent method. No online payment system was existing at that time. Payment was accepted in a centralised office of the university. In addition it was 99% residential course. The University was in a 1500 acre land.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Very much relevant. It gave me the basic education in the field. I got selected in the prestigious firms like BARC & HAL through tough entrance examinations and interviews. Then grew in the ladder and even became CEO of a company. Any institute or company or place you will get an alumni.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

As IITs come under the ministry of human resources development, all of them have the same tuition fees which is 1 Lakh INR per semester (It's different for the foreign students). The students coming under OBC and SC/ST category can avail scholarships. The usual payment gateway for the half-yearly fee deposition is via the online SBI collect portal which offers all the online and offline modes of payments including Debit/Credit Card, Net Banking, E-Challan etc. The portal doesn't offer payment via NEFT or UPI yet. Apart from the tuition fees there is the mess fees plus some money for other facilities being provided in the college. The total fees per semester adds up to nearly around 1 Lakh 20 Thousand. There are no additional charges for the admission, and the college provides complete breakdown of the fees in its receipt with full transparency.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum is well laid-out and clear, offering only major in the branch one is enrolled in. The provision to bring minor in other courses of one's desire is under the process. The exam structure is pretty fair, though sometimes professors fail to complete the whole academic syllabus due to less time allotted under the academic course. On an average, there are 35 lectures of an hour each for a course, which is less; it must be around 40-42, as I see from the courses on NPTEL and also the complaints of professors to have a week or two more for their course. Moreover, the syllabus really needs to revamped according to the latest industrial requirements. There were two industrial visits that were organized by our branch society only. The college is yet to take any initiative on its own. Our placements are more than simply good because of a strong alumni network. As far as research facilities are concerned, the college still lacks at it. Though according to the latest news, many research facilities are being set up - the most recent one being the set up of a super-computing facility at the college. The college has been the place where I have seen the best growth in myself. Various clubs, sports facilities, academics, they all have been major contributors in making who I am today. There are many opportunities to learn if one tries to.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Fee Structure is quite feasible, and all fees are to be paid online through the SBI e-banking system. Fee receipts are provided each semester, showing the breakdown of the fees. No additional fees are charged while securing admission to the course.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The curriculum is well rounded, with a good balance between the academia as well as industry. We also have industry tie ups so that we can understand the demands of the industry and not just study without knowing it's applications in our daily life. Also, the college arranges for industrial visits as well and eminent personalities of their respective fields are invited in order of mold us into professionals after graduating from the college.
