Teerthanker Mahaveer University Admission 2020, Entrance Exam, Courses, Fees Structure

For admission to B.Tech courses, candidates will have to apply to the University via online mode. Admission to B.Tech programs is done on the basis of candidate’s performance in JEE Main/ UPSEE examination.

Selection to B.Tech (Lateral Entry) is done on merit based on percentage of marks secured by the candidate in the qualifying examination.

Note: 5% relaxation in the minimum required percentage is offered to candidates belonging to SC/ST categories.

TMU fffers MBBS under Medical College and BDS under Dental College. Candidates should have passed HSC examination in PCB with minimum 50% marks for being eligible to apply for both the courses.

Selection is done on the basis of NEET scores.

For admission to UG courses such as B.Sc Nursing, BPT and B.Sc Paramedical courses, candidates will have to apply to the university through online mode. Minimum eligibility for admission to the aforementioned courses is that candidates should have passed HSC examination in the concerned subject.

Selection to the courses is given on merit based on percentage of marks secured in the qualifying examination.

Note: BPT, BRIT, and BMLT include a six months internship in addition to the prescribed duration of the courses. Candidates have to do internship in relevant fields to get the degree.

There are many other courses that are offered at UG level such as BBA, B.Com (Hons), B.Ed., B.Pharm, BFA, law courses, B.P.Ed., BCA, and Integrated courses. Candidates should have done HSC from any recognized board. In case of B.Ed and B.P.Ed., a Bachelor’s degree is required for admission. Whereas for B.Pharm (Practice), candidates must have completed D. Pharm, with minimum 4 years of Pharmacy practice expereince. 

Candidates are shortlisted for the UG according to merit based on percentage of marks secured in the qualifying examination.

Note: Admission to all the courses will be based on merit except B.Ed. which will be based on the TMU entrance test conducted by the university.

At PG level, TMU offers M.Tech and M.Sc (Medical). The eligibility for both the course is a Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline.

Admission to M.Tech is done on the basis of GATE Score while admission to M.Sc (Medical) depends upon the merit based on the percentage of marks secured in the qualifying examination. Interested candidates can apply to the University via online mode through the official website.

At PG level, TMU offers MD and MS under Medical College and MDS under dental college. The duration of all the courses is 3-years. A Bachelor’s degree is required to be eligible for MD, MS and MDS. Selection is done on the basis of merit secured in NEET.

TMU also offers MPT, M.Sc. Nursing, M.Sc. Paramedical and M.optometry at PG level. For admission candidates will have to apply to the university via online mode.

Candidates should have done Bachelor’s in respective discipline to take admission in the courses. Selection is done on the basis of merit percentage of marks secured in the qualifying examination

Note: Candidates can apply to the above courses either by purchasing admission brochure and application form from the university or obtaining it through courier or download it from the website. In all cases, they have to pay INR 600.

TMU also offers MCA, MBA, M.Sc (Hons), M.Ed., M.P.Ed., Pharm.D.m MFA and MA course at PG level. The minimum eligibility for all the courses is a Bachelor’s degree, except for Pharm.D. for which 10+2 in Science is required.

Selection of candidates to MBA course is done on the basis of either of the two merit lists - Merit based on CAT/ CMAT/ MAT score or Merit based on percentage of marks secured in the qualifying examination (80% weightage) and Personal Interview (20% weight age). M.Ed admissions are done on the basis of marks scored by the candidate in TMU entrance test, conducted by the University. For rest of the courses, candidates are shortlisted on the basis of percentage of marks secured in the qualifying examination.

Interested candidates can apply online for all the PG courses.

Note: Admission to all the courses will be on merit basis except MBA and M.Ed. which will be based on CAT/MAT/CMAT and TMU entrance test respectively.

TMU offers Diploma and PG Diploma programmes under various specializations. The minimum eligibility for Diploma is a pass in 10+2, except for Diploma in Engineering for which the candidate must have passed class 10^th with Science and Maths. For PG Diploma, the minimum requirement is Graduation in any discipline.

Selection to all both the programmes is based on the merit secured in the qualifying exam.

Admission to Ph.D. course is done on the basis of score obtained by candidate in Research Aptitude Test (TRAT) conducted by the university followed by presentation of research synopsis before the respective College Research Committee (CRC).

Only those candidates who have done Post graduation in relevant stream with minimum 55% marks are eligible to apply.

For courses provided under DDE, only those candidates who have done Graduation in the respective fields of admission are eligible to apply.

Completed applications, along with the necessary documents, and the application fee of INR 2000 through a Demand Draft (DD) must be sent to the University. DD should be drawn in favour of ‘Teerthanker Mahaveer University’, payable at Moradabad

For courses offered under DDE, only candidates with the 10+2/ graduate degree in respective field of admission are eligible to apply. Candidates have to obtain the application form available at the university website.
