Latest Update: University of Lucknow has released UG counseling schedule. The schedule is dated September 22, September 28, and September 29, 2020. Along with the counseling schedule the university has also released some videos on how the admission process will take place. The admission process this year for the UG admissions is being conducted off-campus in an online mode.

Lucknow University on 20^th September 2020 announced the provisional merit list for all UG program admissions. The provisional merit list contains programs such as BA/ BA (Hons), B.Com/ B.Com (Hons), B.Sc (Biology and Mathematics), BCA, B.Voc (Renewable Energy), BJMC, B.Sc (Agriculture), Shastri, LLB, BVA/ BFA, and BBA. This year, the UG admissions at the University of Lucknow is based on Class 12 percentage of the students due to Corona Virus disease. LUGMAT 2020 was also canceled by the university and the UG management admissions are now merit-based.
University of Lucknow on 20^th September 2020 also announced that the counseling dates for the JEE B.Ed JEE have been postponed to October 19, 2020. Earlier, the JEE B.Ed counseling date was scheduled for September 21, 2020, but as the university final semester exams are still on, the university has rescheduled the counseling process to 19^th October – 8^th November 2020.
In addition to this, the university has also announced tentative dates for the PG entrance exams 2020. The tentative dates for the entrance exams are 10^th, 12^th, 13^th, 14^th, 15^th, 16^th, and 17^th of October 2020. Admission to MVA will be based on 100 questions in the MCQ format with no practical or viva round. The LLM entrance exam will also have 100 MCQ and there will be no interview. Admission to the M.Ed program will be based on the written test and academic records of the candidate.

Lucknow University offers B.Tech courses in various disciplines in full-time as well as in lateral entry mode. 10+2 with PCM is the minimum eligibility criteria with at least 55% marks (50% for reserved categories) in aggregate. The university offers various UG programs including BBA, BVA, BFA, B.Sc, BA, B.Com, BCA and B.Li.Sc on the basis of entrance test. Eligible candidates who clear the university entrance test are intimated for counselling round on the basis of their merit.

Important Points Regarding Entrance Test:

The entrance test will comprise of 100 objective type questions to be answered in 90 minutes.
For the faculty of Fine Arts, the entrance test will comprise of 50 objective type questions to be answered in 60 minutes.
Each question will be of 4 marks. One mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer. Zero marks will be awarded for each un-attempted question.
There will be questions from subjects that are taught in the intermediate level in various boards like UP board, ICSE and CBSE.

Lucknow University offers full-time Ph.D program in various specializations of Arts, Commerce, ducation, Fine Arts, Law, Science, Ayurveda, and Engineering courses. The duration of Ph.D courses offered by Lucknow University is 3 years.

Eligibility:

A Master's degree or a professional degree declared equivalent to the Master’s degree by the corresponding statutory regulatory body, with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade 'B' in the UGC 7-point scale (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed).

An equivalent degree from a foreign educational Institution accredited by an Assessment and Accreditation Agency is also valid for admission.

A relaxation of 5% of marks, from 55% to 50%, or an equivalent relaxation of grade, may be allowed for reserved categories.

Selection Process

Ph.D admission will be granted on the basis of a valid score in CET (Centralised Entrance Test) and a following interview. The syllabus of the Entrance Test shall consist of 50% of research methodology and 50% shall be subject specific.

The overall merit list would be prepared on basis of marks obtained in the written test and interview. This list would be displayed on the University’s website as well as on the departmental/ Institute’s Notice Board.

In the final merit candidates would be given a weightage of 70 % to the entrance test and 30% to the performance in the interview.

Latest Update: The admissions at the University of Lucknow for the BBA and B.Com program are being done on a merit-basis for the year 2020 due to the pandemic. Students are being shortlisted on the basis of merits obtained in class 12. Provisional merit lists for both the programs have been released by the university and the off-campus online counseling process has started. The provisional merit list for B.Com and BBA program are available on the official website. Lucknow University offers 120 seats for BBA and 100 seats for B.Com (Hons) program. Minimum eligibility for BBA is 10+2 examination with a minimum of 50% marks. For B.Com (Hons), the candidate must have passed a 10+2 examination with Commerce or Intermediate with Economics or Mathematics as one of the subjects. Generally, the selection of both programs is done on the basis of the entrance test conducted by the university. But this year the university has canceled the LUGMAT 2020 examination and the admissions are being conducted on the basis class 12 merits. Previous year’s papers are not available in the market and the ones available are not the original. They are based on memory or model paper type. Ans. After doing some research online, I found out to get admission at Lucknow University you have to go through some steps. Filling up the admission form with all the details is the first thing to do. The form is available from January to February. After the submission of the form the authorities will provide you with the updates of the entrance exam. The admit cards will then be released on the official website.
