Course Details
University of Burdwan offers 19 Bachelor of Arts courses including BA in LL.B. BA is offered in both online and offline mode in diverse disciplines such as Arabic, Bengali, English, Mass Communication and Journalism, Philosophy, Political Science, etc.

- The eligibility criteria for Bachelor in Arts are Passed with at least 45% marks in aggregate or an equivalent.
- The specializations for the same are Arabic, Bengali, Classical Music (Vocal), Education, English, French, Hindi, History, Mass communication and journalism, music, Philosophy, Political Science, Rabindra Sangeet, Sanskrit, Santali, Sociology and Urdu.
- 60% seats are reserved for graduates of the University of Burdwan and selection is made on the basis of marks obtained at the Honours level :40% seats are available to all and the selection is made on the basis of an admission test

Burdwan University BA Scholarship
Post Graduate Merit Scholarship Scheme for University Rank Holders at Undergraduate Level
Eligibility: The First and Second Rank holders at the undergraduate level and admitted in any Postgraduate Course would be awarded the scholarship of Rs.3100/- p.m for a period of two years only (10 months in the year) i.e. full duration of a PG course. No other additional grant will be payable in lieu of hostel charges and medical charges The scholarship is available to the student for first PG Degree only. Age limit for the students is 30 years at the time of admission in the PG course.
