  • National Fellowship and Scholarship for Higher Education of ST Students- Ministry of Tribal Affairs
  • These scholarships provide financial support to ST students to pursue higher degree courses like MPhil, Ph.D or integrated M.Phil + Ph. D. 
  • A minimum aggregate of 55% marks at PG level from a recognised university is required to be eligible for National Fellowship Scholarships.
  • Students eligible for IIM Ranchi Scholarships are selected on a merit-basis. 
  • There is no minimum Income criteria for students eligible under the National Fellowship Programmes. 
  • The maximum age should be 36 years, as on the first day of July of the relevant year of the award of scholarship.

  • The Merit-cum means based Scholarships assist financial support to the poor and meritorious students belonging to minority communities to pursue professional and technical courses.
  • Students should possess an aggregate of more than 50% marks (or equivalent grade in the previous final examination). 
  • The annual income of a student’s parents/guardians from all sources should not exceed INR 2.50 lakhs.
  • Students from minorities sections are eligible to apply for IIM Ranchi Scholarships under Minorities like Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Buddhists, Jain and Zoroastrians (Parsis) under Section 2 (c) of the National Commission for Minorities Act, 1992.

  • Central Sector Scholarship Scheme (CSSS) of Top Class Education for SC Students- Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment 
  • CSS Scheme provides financial support to meritorious students from SC background willing to pursue degree programs. 
  • Students should have an annual family income up to INR 4.5 lakh per annum to be eligible for CSS Scholarship.
  • As reimbursement, this scholarship covers major finances like tuition fees, non refundable charges, lodging & boarding charges, books & stationery charges and cost of IT equipment for the first year.
  • Eligible students can apply through NSP Portal i.e. https://scholarships.gov.in when the scholarships are being activated.

  • Scheme of Scholarship for Top Class Education for Students with Disabilities
  • Students with disabilities (SwD) pursuing a graduate/ postgraduate program in a recognised institute are eligible for this scholarship.
  • Students with a gross family income less than INR 6,00,000/- per annum, are eligible to apply for the scholarship. 
  • Total scholarship seats available under the stated scheme is 300.

  • Pradhan Mantri Uchchatar Shiksha Protsahan (PM-USP CSSS) Yojana- Department of Higher Education
  • A component scheme known as the Central Sector Scheme of Scholarships for College and University Students (PM-USP CSSS)
  • Students with gross parental / family income up to Rs. 4.5 lakh per annum are eligible for scholarship under the scheme. 
  • Students scoring at least 50% marks in the Final Examination and maintaining at least 75% attendance shall be eligible for renewal of scholarship in their next year.
