KGMU Admission 2024: Courses, Cutoff, Eligibility, Application Process

King George’s Medical University offers MBBS, BDS, B.Sc (Nursing) and DM/DH courses in various disciplines.  Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent with PCB and English with an aggregate of at least 50% marks in aggregate.

Admission to MBBS and BDS courses will be granted on the basis of NEET UG score although 70 seats will be filled through UP NEET Counselling process. Admission to B.Sc (Radiotherapy Technology) is based on the KGMU Entrance Test followed by an interview. For DM/DH and B.Sc (Nursing) courses, the university also conducts an entrance test followed by counselling.

Key Points:

• Candidates belonging to SC/ ST categories will be given a relaxation of 5% marks in the qualifying examination.
• For B.Sc (Nursing), the candidates who have completed class XII from open schooling (NIOS are also eligible to apply.

KGMU Application Process: Visit the official website of KGMU and fill the application form available online. Pay the application fee of INR 2000 (INR 1200 for SC/ST) in the form of Challan through Allahabad or HDFC bank. The application fee can also be paid in any CBS branch or by Master/ Visa Card.

KGMU offers MD, MS, MDS, MHA, MHPEE and PGD courses at PG level. Students seeking admission to MD, MS, MDS and PGD courses must hold a MBBS degree from a recognized university. For MHA course, candidates must hold a BDS/ MBBS/ BAMS/ BHMS/ BPT/ BHA/ B.Optom/ BASLP/ B.Sc Nursing with an aggregate of at least 50% marks.

Admission to MD, MS, MDS and PGD courses will be granted based on the score obtained in UP PGMEE for 85% of the seats and NEET PG for 15% of the seats. Admission to MHA/ MHPEE program will be offered on the basis of candidates’ performance in the entrance test followed by an interview.

KGMU also offers Super Speciality courses such as M.Ch and DM. The university offers DM course in four disciplines and M.Ch course in nine disciplines. Students must hold MD/ MS degree in the relevant discipline to pursue DM and M.Ch courses. Admission will be granted based on score obtained in AIDMCHEE.

King George’s Medical University offers M.Phil, Post MD-Ph.D. & Ph.D. courses at Research level. Candidates who wish to pursue M.Phil must hold M.Sc degree in the relevant discipline with an aggregate of at least 60% marks from a recognized university.

Students seeking admission to Ph.D. program must hold a PG degree with an aggregate of at least 60% marks. For Post MD-Ph.D. program, the students must have passed MBBS and either MD or MS or equivalent examination as per MCI norms with good academic record.

Admission to M.Phil course will be granted on the basis of M.Phil entrance examination. Admission to Ph.D. program will be offered on the basis of score in Ph.D. Entrance Test followed by an interview. For MD-Ph.D. course, admission will be granted based on the Entrance test and Interview conducted by the university.

The application form for Ph.D. programs can be filled

1. Visit the official website of KGMU and download the application form.
2. Pay the application fee of INR 1500 through DD drawn in favour of “KGMU-PhD Program A/c” payable at Lucknow.
3. Send the duly filled application form to the university address along with below-listed documents:

KGMU Post MD-Ph.D. Application Process 2021

The application forms can be obtained free of cost from Department of Medical Education, KGMU, Lucknow. The application form can also be downloaded from the official website of the university. Submit the duly filled application form in person or by post along with DD of INR 1500 through DD drawn in favour of “KGMU-PhD Program A/c” payable at Lucknow to the university:

The application form should have the following enclosures:

• Three passport size self-attested coloured photographs (to be affixed at the requisite places in the application form).
• Certificate from the Principal/Dean/Director/Registrar of the Institution from where the candidate has passed or appeared in MD/ MS examination, specifically mentioning the subject and the year of passing or appearing in the examination.

KGMU offers Paramedical Diploma and Fellowship courses in various disciplines. Admission will be granted on the basis of performance in the written test followed by an interview conducted by KGMU.

Note: The minimum age for admission to Diploma courses is 17 years at the year of admission
