Admission:

IIEST, Shibpur is an institute of national importance. The institute admits students through JEE mains examination. The application form can be accessed through jeemain.nta.nic.in website. The application fee is INR 1000 for gen/gen-ews/obc(ncl) male candidates and INR 500 for SC /ST/ PWD/ TRANSGENDER and FEMALE candidates. The dates for application of JEE mains 2023 paper 2 were from 14FEB-12MARCH 2023. Reservations are available for female, SC/ST, OBC(NCL), GEN-EWS, and PWD candidates. full fee waiver on tuition fees is available for SC/ST candidates and candidates having an annual family income of less than 1 lakh and a two-third tuition fee waiver is applicable for candidates having an annual family income of fewer than 5 lakhs.

IIEST from my point of view

Admission:

The admission process is through Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Mains and JoSSA or CSAB counselling. Students who qualify for JEE criteria and clear the mains exam can apply. Reservations to EWS, OBC-NCL, SC, ST and PwD students are offered. Female supernumerary seats are also there.

IIESTS - the best 4 years of my life

Admission:

You have to give JEE Mains examination and secured a rank of below 40,000(unreserved) The application form is available online around January (session 1) and February (session 2) every year you can attempt the exam twice each year. The application fee is 1000 for general males and 800 rupees for general females, for SC/ST/PwD it is 500 for both males and females. The cutoff varies for each year in 2018 it is 75 for general 32 for OBC and 25 for SC, 16 for ST. The only improvement I want to see is less difference in cutoff marks.

Great environment,greenly campus.

Admission:

The admission process is very simple, you have to sit in the entrance exam of jee main which is conducted by nta and you have to clear this entrance exam to get admission to college. The application form fee is 650. Every year this entrance is conducted 2 times.

2nd oldest engineering college.

Admission:

I had given the JEE main entrance examination then I qualified for it and then the admission process was held through JOSSA counseling. For different courses, you can apply to different colleges. Application forms and other details you can get from the Exam conduction authority website. You can get a reservation through different categories like SC, ST, OBC, and Gen EWS through which you get benefits. As per my knowledge, the admission process is good till now.

Your rank in JEE mains seems to be 5-6k more than the cutoff borderline for receiving admission into Metallurgy and Materials Engineering. According to the recent cutoff trends, the required cutoff for Metallurgy and Material Engineering are as follows. Home State- 26837-29720 Outer State- 19784-28592 It would be difficult to get in Metallurgy and Materials Engineering with your rank.
