Q: Should I choose Amrita University in Coimbatore or Amrita University in Amritapuri? I'm willing to take CSE, and my rank in AEEE is 2,582.

Amrita Universitys main campus is in Coimbatore. The college states that rank and cut off for the different branches vary each year. At the time of seat allotment, students will be asked to select the preferred program. It should be noted that Amrita University is only considering JEE Main session 1 scores. The decision will depend on rank obtained in JEE Main or AEEE and seats available on different campuses. Cutoff: The table below highlights the ranks for the CSE program at the three branches of Amrita University in 2017. Branches Amrita Puri CSE Coimbatore CSE Open Quota 6940 1813 State Quota 16547 13801 The table shows that students with 2582 rank in AEEE have a chance of getting the Amrita Puri campus with both the State and Open Quota. But the Coimbatore campus CSE program requires a higher rank of 1831 in the Open Quota. Students should keep the following in mind as well. Counseling Process: The counseling process was initiated by Amrita University on September 3, 2020. Students get to clarify doubts during the first allotment and those who choose a program in any of the campuses have to pay INR 10,0000. The Second Allotment is for those who opted for sliding and those who are below the last rank in the first allotment. Important Points: The counseling will be done through online mode. Students must keep in mind that the selection will be based on eligibility, seat availability, category, merit, and rank. In 2018, the opening rank for the general category was between 1-750 and the closing rank was between 9501 to 10000, and that for the reserved category was between 1-15000 and 15001 - 25,000. Students must also note that the Amravati campus is not offering engineering programs for the year 2020. The Coimbatore campus is the main campus of Amrita University and has live-in labs, holds student exchange programs, and has more than 150 faculty members.

Admission:

Yes, there is an entrance exam which was conducted by the college on their own, and the eligibility to get admission to Amrita the student must have 60 percent of marks in PU MPC and also the application is available on their website or you can get an offline application while you are in 12th and the cost of the application is 2000 and one more benefit is there is an admission process where you can get a seat on bases of JEE Entrance rank.

Admission:

First of all I have filled out application for amrita exam. After filling the application I have been noticed about the entrance exam. I have attended the entrance exam through online in the college website. The college provides the credentials of their portal for every applicant , so that the student knows about the entrance exam which is called AEEE. In their portal everyone should check their details and have to attend the exam if it is online. After attending the exam the university will release the ranks of the students. Based on the ranks the university selects the candidates and allot them to the particular course they have applied for. After getting the ranks the student have to keep their preferences of the branch they would like to study . At the same time they have to apply for counseling and there will be three slabs. The slabs means each slab have different fee structure based on their ranks.After that the university intimates the students about their fee slab.

We have to take an entrance exam and ranks will be given. cutoff rank would be around 1600 for the Bangalore campus. Local reservation is given and 50%of seats are reserved. Amrita.edu directs you and the registration process is easy to do.

I took an entrance exam, eligibility is intermediate we have to score 75 % of the marks. and I find the application form in the intermediate college. I haven't availed of any reservation benefits. scholarship details to be provided clearly and a clear communication between management and students.

Admission:

Admission process was too tough even though they have AEEE entrance examinations to pass and get admission, mostly all the seats will be filled first and then the students getting average marks will be admitted through the entrance with higher fees slabs. Overall great University.

The admission process is done through an online exam conducted by the University called AEEE. The registration process can be found on the Amrita website. The cutoff usually is around like you are supposed to get a rank of 3000 or less to get admission in computer science. Also, you have to have above 80% in 12th. There is a special quota reserved for own state reservation. To do this course you have to be in the science stream. Admission fees also can be found on the website.

The All India Engineering Entrance Exam (AEEE) cut off by rank was- 9199 for the general category and economically weaker sections and at 9983 for the OBCs, in 2018. In 2019, it was 8893 for general category students and economically weaker students and 10421 for OBCs. The merit list will be prepared based on 60% marks secured in AEEE 2020 and 40% marks in the qualifying examination. Cut-off for Coimbatore and Bangalore: The table below shows the cut-off of the two of its branches of Amrita University in 2017, i.e. Coimbatore and Bangalore. The chances of getting a seat for a desired campus and course depends on the competition and toughness of the entrance exam. There are many determining factors of the AEEE cutoff such as, number of seats available, number of applicants, the difficulty level of the exam, and the number of students who applied and appeared for exams. Each year the cutoff set by the college for admission is different, that is why it is tough to answer this question if one can secure a seat in CSE for the desired campus. However, one can look at the previous year’s cutoffs to get an idea about the ranking and seat allotment process. Cutoff: AEEE CSE Cutoff of Amrita School of Engineering, Coimbatore and Bangalore campus for students in General Category (Open & State Quota) in the academic years of 2017 and 2018 are as follows.
