Ques. Is it true that after IIM, Nagpur is also going to have AIIMS and IIIT (Indian Institute of Information Technology)?

● Top Answer By Amit on 02 Jul 21

Ans. It indeed is. As far as AIIMS is concerned, a search for a suitable site for its construction is still going on. Once the authorities come across such a site they feel is right, it would be worked upon right away. For the institute to get functional in real terms, it would take around a good whole 4 to 5 years. If I talk about IIIT, the situation is similar to the one I have mentioned for AIIMS. The construction can be a bit jittery initially. So, you can anticipate that the location would soon be finalized so that people get to work on it. The Central Government had already passed a proposal for the construction of AIIMS at least two years back, but it was on halt because of the State Government's refusal initially. There wasn't any action taken up to a stretch of 9 months. Finally, because of the efforts laid by the contemporary government, these files of the institute's construction were moved after 9 months.Read more

Ques. What is a better choice, take a job at Mu Sigma as a fresher or pursue an MBA at IIM Nagpur?

● Top Answer By Aishwarya Bhatnagar on 29 Jan 21

Ans. My elder brother works in Mu Sigma, who also has an MBA degree from Ross School of Business, Michigan. As per his personal opinion, most young pupils leave their undergraduate programs in an insensitive way. Except for some exceptional cases, they do not have any idea what they will do in the future. In this case, pursuing a Master’s Degree is completely the worst thing, instantly after graduation. My brother did his MBA, after 9 years of his graduation. The MBA allowed him to change professions without dropping a beat, ensuring he did not have a debt overhang for the next 10 to 15 years.  Just getting into a reputed IIM, does not mean your life is on the right path or you will secure a high salary package.  The graduate program is not enough to receive lucrative job offers, usually, you belong to the top 15 percent.  The ultimate value of most of the branded schools decreases by the time, so the work experience, mentioned in the resumes values a lot, increases the chances of recruitment in the best companies. Thirdly, many students come to a crossroad in their career. It takes around 8-10 years to know what you are good at. And what you want to do for the rest of your life.  Doing a masters too early can limit your opportunities in the future. Especially if you are still figuring out what you want to do. So, do your research thoroughly before making a decision. If you want to study, try to get into the top business schools of the world.  Finally, if you are really good in math and have a proper understanding of logical reasoning, creating thinking, then you can join Mu Sigma. In the following table a short overview of IIM Nagpur is given.  Criteria IIM Nagpur Highest CTC (Domestic) 20 LPA Average Salary 12.35 LPA Placement Percentage 100% Average Fees 11.50 Lakhs Exam Cut-off 90% in CAT Do your research, talk to your peers and seniors. But do not blindly follow any advice. Decide for yourself.Read more

Ques. Which is better, IIM Nagpur or IMI Delhi, both for PGP and PGDM courses respectively?

● Top Answer By Aniket Ranjan on 12 Jan 21

Ans. My friends from IIM Nagpur suggested that even though it comes with the brand name of IIM, it will be a better choice to opt for IMI Delhi, Here are some reasons for why it is better to opt for IMI Delhi than IIM Nagpur: Location: IMI is located in the heart of Delhi and the location offers the advantage of living in the diverse capital of India. It is located close to many multinational companies which makes it a popular choice for recruiters. Legacy: IMI has a legacy of a little over 39 years and that definitely makes it a more popular choice amongst recruiters. IIM Nagpur came into being just 5 years back and it might get there in its own time. Faculty: IMI’s faculty alone is one of the reasons that many students opt for this institution. An experienced faculty with professors from various domains make the college a great fit for students who wish to learn and excel in their career.  Placements: Having a 100% placement record for the 2018-2020 batch, IMI indeed is great when it comes to placements. Categories IIM Nagpur IMI Delhi Location Remote Accessible Legacy 5 years 39 years Highest CTC 25 LPA 28 LPA Average CTC 13.03 LPA 12 LPA Recruiting Companies Deloitte, Mu Sigma, ZS Associates, etc. Reliance, Vedanta, KPMG, Amazon, OYO and Citibank. Student Exchange: Since this college has been here for the last 39 years it has been able to form many connections and alliances with many prominent and well-known B-schools across the world. This is another one of the perks students can avail at IMI Delhi. We hope you will now be able to make an informed decision keeping all these pointers in mind. IMI Delhi will definitely prove to be a better choice than IIM Nagpur.Read more

Ques. Is IIM Nagpur a better choice than SIBM Pune?

● Top Answer By Atul Yadav on 12 Jan 21

Ans. One of my friends from IIM Nagpur said that even though it has the brand name of IIM, it is not among the best colleges in India. When it comes to comparison even though IIM Nagpur is supervised by IIM Ahmedabad, it does not even come close to SIBM Pune, and here is why: Legacy- IIM Nagpur came into being just five years ago and SIBM Pune has been here a little over 40 years and that naturally gives it an edge.  Placement- When it comes to placements the fact that SIBM Pune has a legacy of over 40 years definitely makes for better placement opportunities and offers more access to competitions and has more acceptance within the corporate culture. Well- known and reputed companies like Amazon, Microsoft, etc. are their frequent visitors. Categories IIM Nagpur SIBM Pune Legacy 5 years 40 years Highest CTC 25 LPA 34 LPA Average CTC 12 LPA 20 LPA Placement Percentage 80% 100% Recruiting Companies Deloitte, Mu Sigma, ZS Associates, etc. Amazon, Federal Bank, Goldman Sachs, Reliance, etc. Location- Another advantage that SIBM Pune has over IIM Nagpur is that it is situated in a better, more accessible, modern, and developed location. So, these are three of the primary reasons as to why you should opt for SIBM Pune and not for IIM Nagpur unless you really want to go for the IIM brand name.Read more

Ques. Which will be a better choice, IIM Nagpur or FMS in Delhi?

● Top Answer By Sagar Pandey on 12 Jan 21

Ans. One of my friends graduated from FMS Delhi, said that it is one of the best B-Schools in India. Students looking for the best B-schools, can opt for FMS Delhi. The better choice definitely is FMS Delhi but the selection process is very difficult and the competition you will be facing will be way higher and tougher than IIM Nagpur. Considering academics, faculty, infrastructure, networking and other such things both of these institutes have a very similar standing but when it comes to placements, FMS Delhi takes the lead.  Categories IIM Nagpur FMS Delhi Placements Average Good Highest CTC 20 LPA 60 LPA Average CTC 8 LPA 10 LPA Recruiting Companies Deloitte, Mu Sigma, ZS Associates, etc. Asian Paints, BMW, Accenture, American Express, Tech Mahindra, etc. Another advantage FMS Delhi has over IIM Nagpur is that it has been here for the last 50+ years whereas IIM Nagpur has come into picture just 5 years back. FMS Delhi also has a brilliant alumni base and a better return on investment since their fee is quite less than IIMs.  So, for all the aspirants preparing for CAT, give it your all to achieve your desired score and then go ahead and opt for FMS Delhi but do keep IIM Nagpur as your plan B or back up option,if FMS does not work out for you.Read more

If you are quite good at your academics and management skills, there is seat for you in IIMN. I applied to the MBA program with a qualifying CAT score cut off. Yes you need to crack the CAT exam to get into any IIM. Based upon the CAT score, they released list-1. After getting selected in list-1, I applied to the personal interview by a form. This is the second stage. Then at third stage, I went through personal interview. Only your interpersonal communication will help you ace it. At last based upon the Final Score, I got admitted into the MBA program at IIMN.

Remarks :

The institute is a place to experience the world of management system of the world. They strive hard to be a benchmark and to stay updated and advanced against it's competitors.
