Likes
- CSE at IIIT Guwahati is one of the best choices if you aspire to be placed in good MNCs. It has a strong track record.
- Internship opportunities are very good on our campus, but you need to take the initiative to search for jobs yourself.
- The highest package was 61 lakhs. 95% of students get placed in some good companies like Deloitte, Wipro, Microsoft, Samsung, and IBM, which came for the placement drive.
- There are many state government scholarships provided, which is a great sign of relief if you are needy.
- The campus is in the progress phase, and construction is underway for a new building for the boys hostel, which is about to be completed.
- The hostel is quite comfortable, and every facility is provided here. We have the best WiFi speed, around 31Mbps. We have a good mess inside the hostel.
- The institute curriculum is excellent and is revised or reviewed every year as per the technology trends.
Dislike
- We know it is at its best, but I dont like the fee structure because it is too expensive for middle and lower-class families. Additionally, the negative aspect is that our institute always lacks funds and we do not have better sports facilities provided here.

Placement Experience:
Students are eligible to sit in the internship drive from the 5th semester and they can sit for campus placements from the 7th semester. A lot of companies came and they had a total number of 154 offers to 102 students with around 98.04% of students being placed in the CSE department. The highest Package is 61 LPA and the average package is 17 LPA.
Remarks:
To get admission into IIITG you have to give Joint Entrance Examination (MAIN) and qualify with good numbers then apply for josaa counselling and select colleges as per your choice and you'll get your college based on the cutoff. Application form generally comes in the month of December for the January attempt of JEE mains and in February for the April attempt. Reservations are given to backward classes and EWS classes no other reservations are available. I don't think any improvement is needed in the admission process.
Placement Experience:
Campus placements are good enough there are some major companies visiting colleges like tekion, amazon, and Microsoft with cse avg of 22 lpa and ecw avg package of 12lpa. The companies recruit from 4th-year 1st sem.
Remarks:
The college selects students based on jee ranking which is conducted by nta and can be applied online via nta website, the cutoff rank for obc ece was 12000 crl. All the admission process was online via sbi collect and google forms
Placement Experience:
Students are eligible for placement from 5 sem. Most of the students get placed. The average package is about 12 lakhs. Companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Tekion, Gamescraft, and TCS come for Placements. Some students also for higher studies.

Students can take admission after the 12th from JEE - mains marks through josaa counseling. Application is done JEE - main results, Application fees are a fee for JEE Mains. Reservation benefits are given to students.
Placement Experience:
The placements are decent, nothing to gasp about but impressive nonetheless. The placement percentage is above 90 for most batches and almost all people get placed with a 13-16 LPA job on average. The highest package so far has been 1cr+, but it was off campus.
Remarks:
The admission process was rather smooth, I had to appear for JEE and was allotted a seat in this college through the JOSSA portal. The maximum rank allowed to get into this college in my stream was around 23,000.
Course Curriculum Overview:
The Curriculum of IIITG is designed by viewing current industrial Scenarios and a well structured based on the GATE syllabus. Faculties are quite supportive and always put their best foot forward.
Remarks:
As It is a College of National importance, So you have to qualify NTA Jee-main examination and via JOSAA counseling, you will be allotted this college based on your rank and for CSE your main rank should be under 30K and For ECE it should be under 40K.
Course Curriculum Overview:
I always had a keen interest in a computer science course from my school days so I opt for this course here the all the faculty staff is very good and the faculty-student ratio is also good around 12, all the faculty here are very well experienced and completed their Phd from well-known IITs in specific fields.
Remarks:
After giving jee mains you will be eligible for applying to IIITG through JOSSA counselling based on your rank you could get into this college where you will be offered two courses only CSE and ECE and the average package for CSE are 17lpa and for ECE is 14lpa.
