Placement Experience:

My plan is to grab a placement with a decent package and land a job that is satisfying. From the 7th semester, students are eligible for sitting in campus placements. Names are- NRL, IOCL, TATA POWER, TCS, INFOSYS, OIL, POWERGRID, VEDANTA, CRTD, DABUR, VOLVO, and many more.

Internships Opportunities:

Dabur came with internet and a pre-placement offer. Iits provide internships for the students of aec. The professors here are very much knowledgeable and they are advisors to the state government of Assam.

Decent College

Placement Experience:

The placements are quite good. Eminent companies like NRL, Oil India, and Vedanta visit each year providing an annual package of about 12-16 lakhs. About 60-70 percent of students are placed each year. A student is eligible to sit in placement from the third year.

Internships Opportunities:

Internship opportunities are provided at the end of the third year by the training and placement cell of Assam engineering college. The students get to intern in top companies though they are not paid any amount.

Good academics and decent Placements

Placement Experience:

Placements are an important part of any Engineering College. In our college, placements are quite decent. Some PSUs like NRL, Oil India, Indian Oil etc visit on a regular basis. Mass recruiters like Cognizant and Capgemini visit almost every year. The training and placement cell of AEC does a good job of providing opportunities for the students.

Internships Opportunities:

A student has to conduct majorly three internships. A social internship (end of 2nd Semester), an academic internship (end of 4th semester), and an industrial internship (end of 6th semester). The first two internships are not provided by the college. It is the responsibility of the student to do the same whereas the training and placement cell provides the Industrial Internships to the students in some good companies.

AEC: The Grand Old College

Placement Experience:

The college does provide campus placements and students become eligible for placements for the seventh semester itself. In the electrical branch, a lot of companies visited last year like Ashok Leyland, tata power etc along with PSUs. Last year's placements were very good with nearly 75-80% being placed. The highest package offered was by OIL of 17 LPA and the average is 3.5 LPA. I also plan to sit for campus placements and secure myself a job from the college placements itself.

The College Which Helps You Find your Self

Placement Experience:

Campus interview starts in the 7th semester. The final-year students can sit for the campus placement interviews. Almost 10-12 companies come for the placement drive and a few of them are PSUs. If companies like OIL and IOCL recruit then the package is offered up to 10lakh per annum. Out of 100 students, 35-40 students get placed. After getting the degree I might end up taking a Mtech course.

A detailed review of Girijananda Chowdhury Institute of Management and Technology

Placement Experience:

From the 7th semester, students are eligible for campus placements and recruitments. The companies visited are Bosch, SBI, HDFC Bank, Sony, Ericsson, Dalmia, Wipro, Infosys, Justdial, etc., and many more. A maximum of 100 offers are made about 12lpa is the maximum package offered and the average package offered is 6.5lpa 70-75% of students get recruited from campus placements After getting the degree I want to clear the gate exam for my master's.

Internships Opportunities:

The various companies offering internships are: Ashok Leyland, Airport Authority of India, Amtron, ASTC, CETE, DS group, etc., and many more. Various projects are being done and completed by the passed-out students.
