The best curriculum and academics, with an FFCS system where we can select our own timetable and faculties according to our choice. Some faculties are polite and help us a lot in developing our skills, etc.
There are many internship opportunities provided by the college. From top product-based companies to startups, some of my friends were placed as interns at Nokia, Adobe, and Microsoft.
VIT is visited by the best of the best companies like Amazon, Google, and whatnot.
If you were in Category 1 and Category 2, then the fees are perfect for studying, and no scholarships are provided.
There are sufficient books in the library to issue, and its one of the best parts of VIT Chennai.
Hostels in VIT are very good. Here, we have 2, 3, and 4-bed AC and non-AC rooms. They will allot rooms based on CGPA.
I have applied to many colleges like UPES Dehradun, but I chose VIT Chennai because the placements here are very good.

I am in my 3rd year only, so till now I have not secured any placements, therefore I cant answer this.
Sports in VIT Chennai are quite bad, and there are no coaches available for any game.
There are very dirty hostels that contribute to numerous illnesses in students minds and physiology. The water is dirty. The beds for sleep are dirty. The toilets and bathrooms are dirty. The hostels provided are excessively dirty. The mess also serves disgustingly low-quality food.
Opposite-gender students can interact with each other, but any inappropriate physical contact or informal activities are strictly prohibited on campus. If such behavior is observed, the individual will be expelled from the university.

My experience as a fresher in VIT Chennai fresh out of lockdown.

Placement Experience:

From what I am aware placements happen in 4th year. Over 100 companies visit the campus and more than 90% of the students who take part in placements are placed in wonderful companies with stable packages. The average package for B-Tech students in 2022 was 8 Lacks per annum whereas the highest package offered to a student was 75 lacs per annum (Microsoft). I personally plan on getting a master's degree in my current field of AI and ML after my graduation before going for a job.

Remarks:

The admission process is completely based upon the marks scored in the VITEEE entrance exam. The eligibility criteria is aquiring 60%+ marks in Physics, Chemistry or Math/Biology in respective 10+2 examinations. The application forms can be found in the VITEEE website where all communication with the college happens before enrollment into the college. The application fee is INR. 1350 (including GST) and the application dates can be found on the website. There is no reservation benefits in this college and students are given seats only based on their ranks in the entrance examination. The admission process itself was extremely smooth we just have to make sure to provide the right credentials and be updated on all the information on the website as well as on the email that we register using.

Inside perspective

Placement Experience:

Campus Placements starts at 3rd year and goes till 4th year, where various companies come to recurit students and offers intership or full time job offers. As in 2021, 5609 students were placed, it keeps increasing every year. The highest package was offer by microsoft of 44 lpa. Also wipro recurited 278 students with average CTC of 6.5 lpa and around 75% to 90% students gets placement.

Remarks:

Firstly there was VITEE entrance exam, for evaluation of each students to others. Councling was done through rank wise. Anyone was eligible for the course if you have rank under 1 lakh and seat is available in that course, for the chennai and vellore campus. Application form is available at the main website of VIT. There are no reservations in terms of cast or gender.
