IIT Goa Campus Life and Events

The campus is a temporary one and is situated at Farmagudi, Ponda, some 29 kilometers southeast of Panaji, the capital of Goa. Goa is well connected to other regions of the nation by air, rail, and road. Students can experience Goan cuisine on the weekends by visiting restaurants and beaches. Moreover, IIT Goa offers its students the chance to engage with Goan culture through its annual activities.  The Union Ministry of Human Resources Development (HRD) has given the Goa Government permission to build a permanent campus on property that is around 320 acres in size and is located in the Guleli village panchayat in North Goa's Sattari sub-district. The MHRD anticipates that IIT Goa will only operate out of the temporary campus for the first three years before moving to its permanent location by the fourth year.

IIT Goa students have created clubs for pursuing their interests, including a College Band, a Photography Club, a Design Club, an Oratory Club, a Literature Club, a Dramatics Club, a Fine Arts Club, a Music Club, and a Dance Club. Additionally, IIT Goa has created groups for technical activities including the Robotics Club, Economic Club, and Programming Club. National Formula Student Competition teams and a team for robotics contests are both present at IIT Goa.IIT Goa still lacks a permanent campus, but in 2020 they had their first inter-college Techno-Cultural Fest called "Cultrang" in their makeshift campus. Merit Cum Means Scholarship:

A maximum of 25% of applicants accepted into the B.Tech degree will receive the Merit Cum Means Scholarship.
