Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University (PJTSAU) offers UG, PG & Ph.D. degree programs under various faculties such as Agriculture, Seed Technology, Agricultural Engineering and Home Science at its main campus (Rajendranagar) & constituent colleges located in Telangana.

The minimum eligibility for UG admission at PJTSAU is the candidate should have passed 10+2 examination from a recognized board. For admission to PG courses, a candidate must possess Bachelor’s degree in the relevant discipline from a recognized university. PJTSAU Telangana B.Tech & B.Sc Admission 2023

The university offers B.Tech and B.Sc course in various specializations at the undergraduate level. Admission to all UG courses (except B.Sc. Home Science) is based on the performance in state-level common Entrance Test (TS EAMCET) conducted by Telangana State Council of Higher Education.

University also conducts AGRIENGGCET for B.Tech Agriculture Engineering and AGRICET for B.Sc in Agriculture for the admission of diploma holders in respective courses.

Candidates seeking admission to the UG courses at PJSTAU need to fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria i.e. a pass in 10+2 examination from a recognized university.

Key Points:

The upper age limit (22 years) is relaxed in certain situations. It is 25 years for SC/ST candidates and 27 years for students with physical disabilities.
In the case of a tie in ranks obtained by two or more candidates in the EAMCET, the marks secured in the optional subjects of the qualifying examination will be taken into consideration.
In the case of a further tie, the age of the candidate will be taken into consideration.
The eligible candidates will be required to attend the counseling process depending on their individual merit as determined by the rank obtained in the TS-EAMCET.
40% of the seats are reserved for candidates belonging to the families of Agriculturists (Farmers) owning not less than 3 acres of land either in the name of the parents or in the name of the student and who have studied for a minimum of 4 years in schools located in the Non-Municipal areas
Reservation of seats for Women: In each course, 33% of the seats will be reserved in favour of women students from each category.

PJTSAU Telangana M.Tech & M.Sc Admission 2023

PJTSAU offers multiple postgraduate courses such as M.Tech, MBA and M.Sc in several disciplines. For admission to PG courses offered by the university, candidates should have passed the relevant Bachelors Degree examination. Only the candidates who have appeared for ICAR entrance examination are eligible for admission to PJTSAU. The upper age limit to apply for the course is 40 years as on July 1 of the year of admission.

Selection of candidates for M.Sc/ M.Tech shall be done on the basis of their previous academic record at Under Graduate level (30% weightage) and performance in the entrance test (70% weightage) conducted by ICAR through AIEEA PG. In case of MBA Agri-Business Management, the selection shall be based on the performance in entrance test, conducted by ICAR through AIEEA PG.

In the case of MBA (Agri. Business Management) course, 10% seats are reserved for NRIs / Industry Sponsored Candidates.

PJTSAU Telangana Ph.D Admission 2023

PJTSAU offers Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in various specializations at the research level. Selection of candidates to Ph.D is done on the basis of score obtained by a candidate in the entrance test conducted by ICAR. For admission to Ph.d course, the candidate should have completed Master of Science or an equivalent examination in Agriculture or Home Science or Agricultural Engineering as the case may be, in the concerned field of specialisation with atleast 50% marks in the aggregate.

The selection shall be based on the previous academic record at post graduate/under graduate level and performance test conducted by ICAR through AICE-JRF/SRF(PGS) and the weightage would be in the ratio of 60:30:10 (60% Entrance Marks, 30% M.Sc Marks and 10% B.Sc. Marks).

PJTSAU Telangana Application Process 2023

For PG, Ph.D courses:

Candidates are required to visit the website and fill the OTR (onetime registration) application.
The applicant should furnish all the details while filling the Online Application Form. While filling the online application form, the applicant is advised to save the application in draft form until final submission.
Upon successful submission, an application number will be generated which can also be used for future correspondence.
The scanned passport size (3.5 cm x 4.5 cm) photograph of the applicant should be in JPEG format of and not exceed 1 MB file size.
The applicant’s signature should be scanned in JPEG format of [3.5 cm x1.5 cm] and not exceed 1 MB file size.
The documents to be uploaded should be scanned in png/jpg/jpeg only. The size of the scanned documents to be uploaded should not exceed 1MB.
For OC/BC applicants, the fee is INR 1600 and for SC/ST candidates, the fee is INR 850.
Fee can be submitted through Debit Card /Credit Card (Visa / Master Card)/NET banking/ Wallet.
Upon successful submission and payment, the applicant will be able to print the application form. The applicant should enable “background graphics” in print option before taking a print of the uploaded application form.

Note: For admission into Ph.D. programmes, the candidates should have submitted the M.Sc. level thesis on or before the last date prescribed for the receipt of applications and must complete the thesis final viva voce examination successfully as on the date of registration in case of selected candidates.

Ques. How much is the application fee for both General and SC/ST candidates?

Ans. The application fee costs Rs. 1600 for General candidates and Rs. 850 for SC/ST candidates.

Ques. Does PJTSAU provide hostel accommodation to their students? For International students what are the stay facilities?

Ans. Yes, Hostel accommodation is provided to both boys and girls. For overseas students, International hostels are provided with all the required facilities. Food provided to the students are healthy and most importantly hygienic. Sports facilities and indoor games, reading rooms, TV, Wi-Fi facilities are provided to the students who have pursued the hostel accommodation.

Ans. The Placement Cell here offers guidance to the students for the purpose of employability, Also, there are several other functions which are performed by the Placement Cell which includes regular interaction with the Industry. providing training and guidance on Soft Skills to the students which makes it easier for them to face the interviews.
