Assam Women's University (AWU), established in 2013, is a public women's university that provides courses at the UG, PG, and Diploma level to eligible candidates. Created by the Assam Women's University Act, 2013, the institute was the first-ever women's college to be set up in Assam and has also been recognized by the UGC. The various courses offered at the UG level include BA and BPT, with a duration of three years. For PG programs, the college offers an MA with eight specializations, M.Sc. in Fashion Design and Technology, MCA, MBA, MTTM as well as an MLIS course. 

Admission to all the UG as well as the PG courses is made on the basis of an entrance test conducted by the university itself. For the MBA and MA programs, a group discussion and a personal interview are taken in addition to the written test conducted for admissions. Apart from this, the university also provides diploma courses in Computer Applications, Fashion Integration Apparel, and Jewellery Design. Lastly, the institute provides many different facilities for the well-being of its students.

AWU Assam Admissions

The university provides an offline mode of the application procedure for which candidates must download the form from the official website. The form needs to be submitted along with the required documents through the post or in person. The payment of the application fee needs to be done through the Bank Challan.
