Bachelor of Vocational Studies [B.Voc.] (Hotel Management) From TISS, Dehradun

Aspirants seeking admission to 3-year Full-time B.Voc Program should be passed 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized Board.

The Vocational course is a three year program consists a combination of Practical, Theory and Generic (provided by TISS) courses. The three year program will be divided into 6 semesters; 2 semesters per year.

Concept of Work Integrated Training Program (WITP)

• The WITP model provides the trainee with the opportunity to enhance their skills and gain workplace based industry experience as a part of their Graduation program. For the trainee, the experience is valuable as training is built around the context of work, enabling them to learn by working and observing.

Student gets placed for On the Job Training

• The enrolled student gets placed with a reputed hotel for On the Job Training while pursuing the course
• The enrolled student attends classes at TISS-Hub once a week
• Working gives students the kind of exposure that is otherwise not provided to them by their teachers or the classrooms. In a classroom, it’s all about theories and lectures.
• Working makes a student decide what later in life he would want to do. Which department in the Hotel the student is interested in and better equipped to handle.
• The Hotel pays the student a monthly stipend to the student
• Financial Independence is one of the main factors, the student earns enough to pay for the course with the earnings
• The student at the end of the course would have an effective Work Experience of 3 years
