- In this program, students need to have completed Biology 1A, and have a C or better on the first midterm exam.
- Students must also have completed Chemistry 3B after the early drop deadline.
- Students have to successfully complete 120 units.
- Any student intending to major in MCB must finish by the end of their 6th semester, or during the semester before their graduating term.
- The MCB major provides excellent preparation for many careers and post-baccalaureate training programs, including graduate programs and health-related professional programs (e.g., medicine, dentistry, optometry, pharmacy), science writing, law school, biotechnology, teaching, and academic research.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Students must either be in the final year of secondary school or have already completed secondary school studies to get admission in this program.
- A GPA of 3.4 (B+ grade) out of 4.0 is required in the last year of the studies.
Indian Student Eligibility:
Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Students are expected to complete Year X and Year XII state board exams.
- The competitive students typically achieve high marks, primarily A1 and A2 grades or scores above 80.
- students must complete both year X and XII state board or CBSE examinations, with average marks above 70 and no mark below 60.
Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
