I didn't choose to stay on campus as I wanted to save money as much as I can. I have my relatives living here in Berkeley California so I was staying with them. Though I had to bear transportation charges it was still less than room and board charges.

Haas School of Business has a very diverse culture and that's what I was looking for. As I learned from the site admission process mainly begins in the months of October, January and April for MBA programs. So I applied for the April session and filled the application for around $200.

Housing facilities provided by the college are extremely well resourced. Since I have been staying in this hostel for a year now, I have no complaints regarding the services provided by their staff. Cleaning is done on a regular basis. The food available in the canteen is wholesome and delicious to the heart's content. It is cheap and inexpensive as a lot of subsidy facility is availed by the college. A total amount of around $25,000 is charged as the total annual expenses for availing of the amenities of the college hostel.

The majority of students in India are conceived with the thought that completing post-graduation from the USA gives you the correct amount of balance to your degree and a lot of stability to your Resume. I was no stranger to this thought process as well and had developed the habit of browsing through the internet sites from where I could gather necessary information about the kind of colleges in the USA where I could pursue my higher studies in Finance. When I learned about the Haas School of Business and their MFE program I was extremely inclined to join it not only because it provided the degree at a mildly affordable cost in comparison to other universities abroad but also had the requisite facilities which would help me achieve my objectives. This in turn encouraged me to fill out the form for this particular college.

I managed to live in the on-campus housing facilities on a sharing basis. I opted for the same so I can get connected to faculties and the college 24x7. I paid $18000 for the room and board and $2000 for other needs.

I was searching for the top universities in the world, there I found this university most suitable to me, keeping in mind various factors such as interest, previous academic performance, cost of attendance, etc. After analyzing a lot I applied to the university online by paying an application fee of $80.

UC Berkeley is known to have minimal housing available for anyone who isn't a freshman. Which is basically because the bay is experiencing a shortage in it. I think I would make them cheaper because honestly, students pay too much for what it's worth and could find better housing outside the dorms.

I chose UC Berkeley because of its location and ideal temperature. It is one of the more distinguished schools and more students are accepted into Medical school when applying with UC Berkeley as your alma mater.

I chose this particular college for many reasons. I would say that I mainly chose because I liked the weather in California and because and I felt it would be in a good state and city where I could further develop my dreams and goals.

I thought I would get the best education here because of its ranking and faculty. I also liked the variety of classes offered and the social climate. There was a good selection of different organizations I would be able to join.

In my first year, I lived in a dorm. It was okay. It was pretty clean and I had nice roommates. The dining hall had decent food. In my second year, I now live off-campus. I like close to a grocery store so it is convenient to cook food. However, I live a bit far from campus.

It is known for being the #1 public university. My older brother had also gone here. He was a senior when I was a freshman so if I went to Berkeley then he could show me around. Public universities aren't that expensive.

The only freshman lives on campus due to the lack of housing available. I lived in Foothill, which is very nice, peaceful and quiet. It is quite a walk uphill but the rooms are much bigger and cleaner than the rest of the residence halls. It is a bit intimidating when you have to start looking for a place to live by yourself, but you learn as you go and the process is not so bad. You will end up finding a place to live so don't worry!

It is a wonderful public School close to home! A much cheaper option for me plus a wonderful academic program. I mean its the number 1 public university in the country! I just love the vibe here. The area is not the best but I like having so many restaurants in walking distance.

I was in the dorms for one semester and outside housing for three. The dorms are clean but kinda sketch in terms of how old they are. I was in unit 3, the oldest non-remodeled unit, so it was a shock to see how nice the new dorms were. My apartments off campus were ok, make sure you bring up any issues (ie mold) with your land management immediately and follow up to make sure they take action.

The English program is ranked very high and I was accepted. I received higher financial aid here than my other top choice, and the school has a great reputation. The housing is expensive, but if you look hard it won't break the bank. Professors have great reputations as well, great for letters of recommendation.
