Univ of California's experience of Isabella

7.0 /10

I liked the environment - both physically and academically. Research opportunities here are abundant. Faculty and staff are phenomenal and friendly, yet professional; more so, the has a good reputation in terms of STEM majors which made me choose UCSD.

Course Curriculum :

I think it's tailored more for people to think outside the box. Rather than preparing one for a specific career, it prepares students for a variety of tasks in the future. Some classes offer more broad applications of content while some are somewhat specific.

Exams :

I took the SAT and ACT. I got scores of 1400 and 32 respectively. In addition to those, I took 10 AP exams with scores of 3, 4(on 2 exams), and 5(on 7 exams).

Fees :

It is broken down into school tuition, housing, and then several other activity fees. Activity fees range from a few dollars to a couple hundred.

Examination Structure :

For most lower division classes, there are two midterms and one final. For the most part, each midterm is worth twenty percent of one?s overall grade while the final is worth about forty percent of one?s grade.

Faculty :

Faculty and staff at my college are exceptionally informational. They are well-versed in their subjects and are able to explain problems that are beyond course materials upon request. Furthermore, they are generally very welcoming and appreciate the feedback a lot.
