University of Michigan Review

MT
7.0 /10

It was the best college I got into, and the best for the money. The University of Michigan is the best public school in the state and offers one of the best mechanical engineering programs in the country as a public school.

Course Curriculum :

It is very difficult, sometimes overbearing, but it gives me a good challenge to take on. Math specifically is my least favourite as it is notorious for being bad, but I enjoy my major classes, especially design.

Exams :

I took both the SAT and the ACT in high school in my junior and senior years, including the SAT Subject Tests.

Fees :

The fees structure is like most any other college. There is the general tuition in-state students pay, and then a higher one for out of state students. In my college, the tuition is a few thousand higher, and the tuition hikes when you have enough credits to count as a junior.

Examination Structure :

The exam structure changes class to class, as well as major to major. It really all depends, but to my knowledge, most classes offer two or three midterms over the semester, along with homework and participation, and then the final.

Faculty :

I do not have too much of an opinion on the faculty of my college. I really do like one of my professors, but overall I feel like the classes are too large to appropriately appreciate the professors.
