QS Scholarship for Academic Excellence

QS offers a number of scholarships through the partners it works with. The QS Academic Excellence Scholarship awards 10,000 USD to a Masters student, with the aim of promoting innovative ideas in different areas of study.

The deadline is 30 April 2023.
It is meant for students who are just starting their studies at the Masters level.
The scholarship will be granted based on the essay you submit as an application.

It is largely a merit-based scholarship, as the essay will talk about your academic record and future plans. Only one person is awarded every year, and the recipient must use the money to pay the tuition fee.

Criterio de elegibilidad

The scholarship is open to students doing their Masters in any university, in any stream. Some other specific criteria are:

Candidates must attend one of these QS events:
- World Grad School Tour
- World MBA Tour
- Connect MBA
- Connect Masters
Candidates must start their first year of study in the next academic year
Candidates must be doing a course at the Masters level
Candidates must have accepted an offer from a school by the time the winner is selected in may.
The fund must go towards tuition fees

These are only the minimum requirements; fulfilling the criteria does not guarantee an award.

Proceso de solicitud

Applicants must submit an essay of no more than 500 words through the portal on the official website, or via the QS Events app. When submitting, you will have to fill in an application form with:

Full name
Email address
Phone number with country code
Nationality

You are to give these details at the beginning of the essay:

Full name
Scholarship title
Which QS Fair you have attended

The essay must describe how your academic accomplishments so far have prepared you for the next level of your studies and how you are going to apply your academic excellence to have an impact on society.

The submission must be done by 30 April 2023, 11:59 BST.

Proceso de selección

The essays will be evaluated and the candidate with the most academic potential will be announced as the winner. The scholarship amount will be paid directly to the school on behalf of the recipient.

QS scholarships are of mainly six types, and they add up to nearly 7 million USD. The Academic Excellence Scholarship of 10,000 USD is given at the postgraduate level to talented students, whose higher education will nurture their ideas and ultimately benefit the community.
