Deakin India 25% Merit Scholarship is a tuition fee waiver that is offered in a form of a scholarship to Indian students. Applicable for both undergraduate and graduate programs at Deakin, this scholarship program offers an unlimited number of scholarships to eligible students.

As the name states, the 25% Merit Scholarship is only valid for Indian applicants.
Eligible UG and PG students must have a minimum of 80% and 75% respectively, in their previous levels of education.
Application for the next scholarship session are to be submitted before July 1, 2024.

The proof of residency and academic excellence are primary eligibility and selection criteria for Deakin India 25% Merit Scholarship. Applicants are not required to submit any additional applications. The selection panel reviews the Deakin University admission applications of eligible students. Recipients are required to maintain an average score for continued eligibility of the scholarship.

Academic Eligibility for Deakin India 25% Merit Scholarship

Given below are the minimum academic requirements to be eligible for the scholarship:

For UG programs: A minimum of 80% as an overall score in class XII.
For PG programs: a minimum of 75% as an overall score in bachelors.
For continued eligibility, the Weighted Average Mark (WAM) must be maintained at a minimum of 65.

Applicants attaining marks less than the ones specified above can check other scholarships like Deakin India 20% Bursary, available for lower academic scores in previous classes.

Application Process

Applicants who fulfill the eligibility criteria listed by the Deakin University are automatically accepted for the scholarship. No separate application form is to be submitted. The deadline to be considered for the Deakin India 25% Merit Scholarship is July 1, 2023.
