I wanted to apply for the Master of Information Technology (Professional) Course at Deakin University with the goal to improve network skills, software development and cybersecurity management. I firmly believed that Deakin University will be the perfect launch pad for my aspirations. The Master of Information Technology (Professional) curriculum delves into the foundational skills of the subject, while also providing an industry-oriented perspective. To sumup Deakin University’s program is an addon advantage for its International Student support system.
Course Curriculum :
Course Curriculum at deakin is very good which infact it is flexible for the students where students can either opt for on campus education or off campus (cloud campus) every course and its content can be accessed and managed by the portal developed and designed for the students (Deakinsync). Deakin also provides an Project included into the curriculum which helps students to gain real-life project scenario and its exposure.
Exams :
My University admission requirements include: 1. Previous academic scoresheets. (10+2 and Bachelor's). 2.English Proficiency Test Results (IELTS, TOEFL, SAT, etc.) I have taken IELTS my scores were 6.5. 3.Student Visa (Subclass 500).
Placement :
Here Deakin provides a pathway and has its own portal for job search (DEAKINTALENT) students can visit thier portal for new job listing and go accordingly. Deakin also provides a job ready programs for the students prior getting into a job which will help students to be industry ready.
Events :
Deakin has a great infrastructure which includes various clubs like sport, health, religious, music and many more. Deakin also conducts various events such as Indian festivals, music festivals and frankly speaking its a home away from home. Deakin also has a sports and welbeing center where stduents can acess gyms and other facilities for thier wellbeing. They also have a very unique and beautiful looking library with session rooms for group projects and discussions.
Scholarship :
Yes, I have received a scholarship which is 20% of my overall University fees. I had to fill a form for the scholarship given by the university which is assesd based on my previous academic performance.
Faculty :
Our university includes 2409 faculties and over 60000 students overall. whilst in the class our faculty ensure no student goes out without any doubt we can also communicate with out faculty via email given onto our course portal. My professor Prof. Ronaldo faculty and unit chair of cybersecurity has changed my whole prepect view and understanding of how cyber crimes occur and how to mitigate it.
Hostel :
I stay off campus while deakin also has a on campus accomidation but for a easy pocket most of the stduents look out for off campus accomidation. It is easy to find an accomidation here students can look out for various portals like Facebook market, Gumtree, flatemates.com and other sources where house listings are posted.
